Yes I know, again about an ISO thing. But you should forgive me, it is a new toy, and i am a bit impressed by it.
Canon R6 Low Light Test
Some of you seen my High ISO Cat photo-shoot (click here if you missed it). And the cat endured the high ISO really good. How will people do with it?
The light was a bit worse than in the cat scenario. There were few edison light bulbs some 2 meters up and dimmed to somewhere around 1/2 power. Less light would probably be the reason that colors suffered a bit but i find 12.800 usable in all web (social network) use cases. Converting it to black and white i would have no problem printing it at a decent size.

Canon R6 | Canon 35mm | 1/80sec. | f/1.8 | 12.800 | off | non |
To go further, i set a faster shutter speed so i could pump the ISO higher. Got to 51.200. In black and white and used in a blog, you can see the noise, but id does not look terrible. If you open it up at 100% you can see that there is no sharpness and a lot of the details are lost.

51.200 is probably the limit of how high i would go, and would do it only when no other option is available. Starting with Canon 600d and photographing a lot in the bad lights that i could not influence i learned to embrace the noise and focus more on the emotion of the photo or capturing the moment.
And most non photographers will not say "oh you have a lot of noise in this photo", most will say "i remember exactly how i was feeling at that moment when looking at this photo"
