If you've been following my blog for awhile, you know the challenges I've faced being the responsible one for my family. However, even though winter is coming, it feels like spring is in the air as I claw my way back on Hive.
Today I was able to pick up enough DHEDGE tokens to push me over 100. And even though that's a far cry from the thousands I had at one time before I had to liquidate them to help a family member out, it was an important milestone for me.
Bootstrapping my way Back
Since I can't really count on upvotes alone since we've lost so many people, I've picked up some partner tokens to help give a little traction to the wheels a bit, and am reinvesting the earnings that come in. It may only be a little bit, but every bit gets added to that tiny snowball that is gently rolling downhill.
I power up a small amount every single day, as that compounding adds up over the long term, and that's exactly the outlook I have. I'm a HODLer and a builder.
It's the tortoise and the hare thing in real life.
Rome wasn't built in a day, you know the drill...
I could be wrong, but I think that at its peak, DHEDGE and LEO were my two biggest investments, along with a thriving dCity, and I think I was even well on my way to stacking 1000 ALIVE tokens. I love seeing my tokens beget other tokens, and watching that crypto snowball get larger and larger was a joy to behold.
What was also heart-warming was seeing my LEO account grow so that I could cast a meaningful upvote to good content creators. I focused on LEO at the time because I could accumulate more of it since it was cheaper than HIVE, and it was starting to add up through my contributions in LeoMarketTalk. We had so much fun in there in the run-up to what became #threads.
I want to give a big shoutout of thanks to those of you who've supported me with your upvotes comments and reblogs, even when it might not have been "politcally correct" to do so. I see and appreciate every single one of them, so thank you very much!
It's good to be able to write more as well, as things seem to be stabilizing with my ill relative, leaving me a little more time to create new content for Hive. It really has that whole turning a corner feel to it, and the other main platform that I write for provides me with a steady base of support as well.
So if you've just joined Hive, just pitch in where you can and enjoy the ride. Winter is coming, and I couldn't be happier, as each flake gets added to that crypto snowball which keeps rolling along... :)
