Dating from a time when Scotland traded with other Hansa countries.
You can still see some of the markings in doorways around the city centre. It looks like a backwards 4.
This is one of my favourite spots in town.
The river turns back on itself a few times as it goes through the town.
If the timing is right, good looking clouds in the sky and the river at the right tide (because the Forth is a tidal river) it always looks spectacular.
This is 4 frames stitched together, and not as well as they could have been. I used too wide a lens in the first place.
Don't use an ultra wide angle if you want to stitch images.
Use something like 28 mm.
But I didn't have anything else with me so it was this or nothing.
