Had some wobbly internet over the last week as its being "upgraded" to supposedly something better. Why is it that people have to take something that works perfectly well and tinker with it, causing things to break?
The entire area lost internet connection, and here I was almost ready to reinstall my OS, before I learned everyone was having the same problem getting connected.
Sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone, right?

In my net downtime, I decided to watch all of the Saw films. Yes, as a typical American, I love horror movies. I'm in the middle of Saw VI, and can't wait for the next trap. Let there be blood indeed.
I didn't realize that being a fan of horror was considered a particularly American thing, until I heard the comments from Germans back in 2017 as we were all preparing to go see It. Some choice comments from the staff let us know this wasn't a worldwide phenomenon, much to our surprise.
It's interesting how very different the rest of the world looks once you leave fortress America. Things that are so common and ordinary here, are considered strange "over there." Still, I love my country warts and all, and I'm so glad that I was born here. The United States rocks!
And if you are American, you should thank holy God that you were born here. I've been all around the world, and trust me, the grass isn't always greener anywhere else. So stop bitching about our problems and be glad you live in the greatest country on Earth.
There's a reason that so many people are flying over from Africa and making the long trek up through South America and the cartels of Central America in order to get here.
If this place sucked so bad, they wouldn't be leaving everything behind to make it to the land of promise, where you can come here with nothing, and through hard work, grit and determination, become the next Gennadiy Alexandrovich Vaynerchuk (better known as "Gary Vee") or Elon Musk. Think about it.
It looks like this post is going to be odds and ends and little scraps of thoughts that are percolating around inside of my head instead of a singular-subject post. And that's alright, change is good, and variety is the spice of life as they say.
I'm just glad to finally have internet that sorta, kinda works so that I can at least get something out on Hive. Writing is one of those things that you need to do regularly in order to stay sharp, and I just love the actual fun of creating a thing where nothing existed before. What are you creating today?
Well this looks to be a good place to end this. I have to go see what beautiful traps Jigsaw will set for his sometimes deserving victims. Until then: "Live Or Die. Make Your Choice."
