Wealth distribution may suck but in the present age you have the greatest possibility and freedom to do something about it. At least in most of the western world. In the past if you were a peasant it was just impossible or very rare to raise to the level of the noble who owned you and the land where you lived (unless you were a pretty girl and the king or some earl picked you as his wife).
I prefer to collect small bits rather than not being able to own anything at all and I am grateful that I am not owned by some powerful and rich person who can sell me, kill me or send me to fight in their war whenever they wanted. Our economical and political system has many many flaws and it is definitely not perfect, but when I look back to the history it was mostly even worse.
