Today is the day I dread every year. Guy Fawkes Night, the fireworks have Mika stressed for the whole night we have tried everything to try and settle her beforehand, jackets, sprays, pills but nothing works, this year we are giving Piriton a go, half a tablet each hoping they will quieten down and she doesn't get as bad as she usually gets. Once she starts barking my other 2 pups follow.

We have the TV turned up plys squeaking there toys to keep them distracted Its not working. I was hoping this tablet would hopefully knock them out for a couple of hours.
I don't mind people enjoying themselfs but Fireworks do so much damage not just with animals also with children. If France can have silent fireworks why can't we. They can be ordered online here:
https://www.fireworkskingdom.co.uk
Click on products, Occasions then silent fireworks.
These should be what people use, no more animals or children having stressful nights isn't this the better option.
I have also bought something for my daughter to help with her Anxiety and depression after her break up with her ex. She took this really bad, he broke her heart out of the blue with no explanation giving her a panic attack and her Anxiety is at its worst.
I should have thought about this earlier with my experience of working in a health shop, it was quite a few years ago. I swear by this, it got my hubby through his driving test, hes not usually a nervous person, the driving test was giving him sleepless night, I brought home a small bottle, he flew through his test, it also helped me with a competer exam.

When I was working this was in dropper form now they have pastilles, sprays, cream and one for dogs. I have bought Nichola the spray to carry around with her and use when she starts to feel anxious. Bach Flower Remedies have been around for a long time, I used to work in Holland & Barrat over 30 years ago and its still helping people.
We have had a really bad night with our pups, Mika and Luna have shook and cried for hours. They aren't young to be happy at bedtime as we have no bed. Hubby has had to break up our old bed to put into big plastic bags. Our new bed arrives on Tuesdsy, there is a little more painting to do before we give it a good clean.
Me and hubby will have to sleep downstairs for the next few nights, our 3 pups will have to fit in where they can. I was expecting Mika and Luna to be asleep with taking Piriton. There has been no change, they are still super stressed.
I could possibly cope with having one stressful night but around here fireworks go off nearly every night running up to Christmas then we have a loud New Years Eve and they still carry on well into January.
Anyway thats my day nearly over, a game of bingo, read a few posts then time to settle down on the Sofa and earth TV until I fall asleep.
Thank you for visiting. π π
