Hope everyone is having a good week.
My week hasn't started very good, I had a really bad night due to pain, my usual pain just heightened quite a bit with my side hurting. A month ago I was in the hospital having a Kidney cyst drained, this cyst had grown from 10cm to 13 in a couple of years, it was causing me a lot of pain and very uncomfortable, I could feel the pressure building. When I spoke to the Urologist he wanted to drain it first hoping that would work, they drained nearly a litre of fluid from the cyst but unfortunately the pressure is back. I can't lay on my right side again as its really uncomfortable. I have a few more weeks to go before I go back and see the Urologist again, he did say if the drainage didn't work he may have to go in to fix it.
I also had a phonecall from the physio department about my spine, they asked me loads of questions then asked me to come in so they can see what's going on. They have sent me exercises to start, these are to see what I can and can't do.
I am going to start these exercises tomorrow, as for the lying on the floor I'll be missing that out as if I could get down there I wouldn't be able to get back up. The chair ones look OK, she said a little pain is OK but if it's too much then stop. I've been wanting to start some exercise as I don't do any, I am going to take my painkillers before I start then hopefully get a little workout, its better than nothing.
I've also started to do some research on having a non alcoholic Liver, the liver is pretty good in healing itself so with a better diet and being more aware of what goes on the mouth its at least worth trying. I have found that walnuts and dates are very beneficial, taking a couple of dates which help with slowing down digestion and reducing the fat accumulation in the liver. The Walnuts, are a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, helping to reduce liver inflammation and improve liver enzyme levels. Sounds good.
If I can get the kidney sorted and help heal my liver I think my health may improve especially with doing a few exercises everyday, I am desperately trying to lose weight, being inactive due to being disabled is hard to keep the weight off. I have noticed my apposite is going, I don't have any hunger pangs so usually go without having any lunch then a small tea, still fighting with my weight.
If only this was just a practise run for our real life then we would learn so much, imagine having a restart with the benefit of knowing what could happen, I would do most things differently, what would you do? sadly we are here for such a short time, we learn to late.
