Hi, Steemians!
Common sense has always been an important part of my mindset, but that does not mean that I completely agree with it.
One of the things that I have always found silly is the concept of balance.
People with more experience claim that a good life is a life of balance, where everything is in its place.
But many people mistake this simple and beautiful concept with the idea that everything should be equally important in your life.
This erroneous thought leads to dangerous mental consequences.
I want to dedicate this article and dispel this false analogy.
Seeking a life with balance is fallacious, because by logical assessment, when you excel at one area in your life, you are going to lose your focus on the rest.
This dangerous and wrong belief can give you depression in the long run. Because from time to time in your life, your focus shifts to a particular thing and you begin to do really well in that area.
But you start to take a look at other aspects of your life and scorn yourself for not paying them the attention they deserve.
For example, a businessman who is deep into his work can hardly find the appropriate amount of attention to go to the gym and do a good job there for himself.
At this point, a man with common sense might think that he is living a terrible life because he doesn’t have ‘balance’ but there is no such thing as true balance.
Life is a playground of compromise and acceptance.
Furthermore, a person who seeks true balance and achieves it is doomed to live a boring life.
Having balance and taking care of everything means living a life of strict discipline that has no loophole for compromise or creativity.
This also means that people who achieve true balance take care of everything with equal measure, but they do not EXCEL at anything particular.
This is because they are living a life of mediocrity. When your attention is equally divided for many different things, you cannot ace any one of them.
But despite all its flaws, society still thinks that balance is the key to happiness. Well, I say something different: Balance is the key to depression and lack of focus.
I’ve seen many young people lose their grip on life and forsake their dreams because of the fallacious pursuit of balance.
What is balance, in the end, other than something that can only restrain you and your creative energy?
Live a life of compromise and excitement. Take risks, make mistakes, and dedicate your attention to something you really love.
This means that from time to time, you are not going to be able to pay attention or tribute to certain aspects of your life and that is totally fine!
Because despite the fact that you are losing your grasp in other areas, you are achieving something remarkable in the are that you are dedicating your attention to!

I have been working very hard on this blog since the beginning. I have a very busy life but I am giving my best and believe me I have shared experiences that I have been coaching thousands of people and I know that the change of the Mindset should be daily. I am already grateful to see you giving upvotes to each other and you can see this with the fact that many already have 8, 9, 10 upvotes. But I'm sure that with the effort of all of us we will see a community with, more and more upvotes each others and for that everyone should get engaged so we can make it come true. In the end you will see that I ask you all to sign up for a youtube channel that I created this specific channel to talk about steem and for projects that I am working on steem that soon I will release a video about that channel. It's important that you sign up for the channel and talk to your friends at steem so they can sign up as well.
There is no video in the channel yet but it is important that you are subscribed to this channel precisely so that you can be notified when I launch something there.
