Have you ever seen a racing competition in which the athletes are rewarded midway through the race? The reward always comes at the end of the race. If any athlete runs and then drops off before reaching the end of the race, they will automatically lose out of the reward. In life, there are some people who have missed out of their dreams, not because they have impossible dreams, but because they quitted on the way. What a lot of people do not know is that the moment when it feels like you can no longer go ahead is the point you need to put in extra efforts to keep going, because you might just be at the edge of your breakthrough. You should not stop trying even if it seems tough until you hit the mark.

That you met challenges on the way does not mean that you should give up. As a matter of fact, the presence of the challenges is a sure indication that you are actually doing something right. Of course, no one fights an empty battle - if they fight you or oppose your motion, then you are probably doing something worthwhile. When the path becomes tough and the journey becomes rough, you need to toughen up and keep moving. Trust me, life will not promise you a fair and unchallenged journey, but you can overcome it.
I was reading a story online some days back about someone who wanted to study a particular course in one of the universities in the country, so he sat for the mandatory JAMB exam. However, when the result came out, he fell a few marks short of the cut-off for his intended course. He felt sad and almost about to give up. He was advised to apply for a change of course and proceed with a new course, but he declined. Pressure from peers almost made him to crack, but he kept going. He decided to write again the next year. He had 1year to prepare, so he studied extensively and even went for external lessons to gain more knowledge.
Some of his friends who entered school were already rounding off with their first year, yet he had not gotten admission. He later rewrote the JAMB exam. Adorably, he did not just pass, he was among the top 3 in the entire state. He got direct admission on merit, plus a scholarship provision by the state government. If he had given up and changed the course, he would have missed out of his dream course, and he would have also missed out of the scholarship.
No matter how tough the journey is, a lot of others are thriving in it, why not you? There is nothing of value that you want to achieve that will not place certain responsibilities on you, which may not be easy and may be very tasking. As a matter of fact, big dreams will definitely come with complementary big tasks.

When you create an idea or have a dream of what you want to achieve, you have to resolve within yourself to stop at nothing until it is achieved. Even when a method seems unusable, you can devise other methods - that is, change the method but not the dream itself. The dream is like the destination that you want to get to, which you can follow more than one route to get there. If a route or a road is congested or filled with traffic, you do not abandon the journey, but you will find other routes to get there. The journey to greatness requires intense work, perseverance and persistence.
Your dream may not get delivered in a day, but it does not mean it will not. If you want to fell down a tree with an axe, you will observe that the first strike will not make the tree to fall. But it does not mean that the strike is not significant. When you keep striking the axe, it will definitely fall. In the same way in life, when you keep putting in actions towards your dreams and your ideas, you will achieve them.
