Believe it or not, some of the HubPages writers were actually making four figures a month not too long ago. However, for one reason or another, HubPages articles' traffic began to plummet. No, you usually didn't get rich off your articles. However, before all this lunacy started that I described in my article and my preceeding article about HubPages on my PEAKD channel, HubPages writers were earning a decent income from it. The revenue-sharing set-up was 40/60. It's still supposed to be that, but a lot of shady things have been going on lately on the platform.
Some of the HubPages writers were professional, but there were still a number of writers who were publishing articles for the very first time. So it consists of a mixture of talented writers and amateurs. It used to be an excellent opportunity for amateur writers to become skilled at it insofar as they could eventually write on a professional level, but now it's as though everything there is fizzling out because of the latest events there.
