Whats up everyone.
Some of you may not know the term "overland". Thats OK. It just means a vehicle, thats pretty capable on and off road that you camp in.
So this is my rig. It's a Gen 2 Tacoma TRD 4x4. I got the box topper installed in Minot North Dakota, and next time, I'll get a raised roof version. Ive put 180,000 Km on this truck and its been the best vehicle I have ever owned... and I've owned a lot of vehicles.
Camping is one of the joys in my life, I have depression and anxiety issues. Camping to me is an escape. Just having the fire going, sipping on a rye and diet coke in my Saskatchewan Rush mug. Life is better in the wild.
So I took a pic of the setup I've been using for a few years now. Pardon the messy bed, and yes, thats a laptop, my truck has an inverter built into the box, and I can watch movies at night. I can even Hotspot my phone and stream one of the streaming networks. amd yes, those pillows are from. J C Penny's Joe Exotic collection 😜.
So I am at Danielson Provincial Park, my big brother and his family are across from me with all the fancy campers, boats, and I have this massive site with my truck stuck in the bush. Different camping styles!
I've been shopping for a roof top tent, and I'll likely add a rack to the topper to install a tent. I know its not for everyone, but for me, overlanding in my truck is my happy place.
Be kind to one another.
