¡No se deiene el taller donde suceden maravillas! Me gustan estas frases motivadoras, porque mi taller va creciendo y poco a poco vamos aprendiendo lo que ofrece el mundo de las manialidades. No quiero quedarme de brazos cruzados porque es muy facil quedarse atras en un mundo donde todos están constanemente innovando y sobre todo donde todo se mueve por la tendencia.
Ahora quise meterme un poco en el mundo del Pop Up y los Lap Books. En un post anterior pude experimentar al arte del movimiento del papel plegable.

Now I wanted to get a little into the world of Pop Up and Lap Books. In a previous post I was able to experience the art of folding paper movement.
Hoy te comparto mi experiencia con esta tarjeta que es muy sencilla de hacer aunque parezca muy complicada. Regalale a esa persona especial un detalle hecho de tus manos.
MATERIAL NECESARIO: dos o tres colores de cartulina, silicona liquida o en barra, tijeras, lápiz, borrador, marcadores y regla.

Para empezar se corta el cuerpo o pieza principal con unas medidas de 30cm de alto por 28 de ancho.
Vamos a marcar en cada costado una linea de 7 cm de ancho, esto se convertirá en las solapas.
To begin, cut the body or main piece measuring 30cm high by 28cm wide.
We are going to mark a line 7 cm wide on each side, this will become the flaps.
Las piezas que se cortan a continuación son puramente decorativas. Una pieza de 28cm de alto por 11cm de ancho. Cortamos 4 piezas de 28cm de alto por 5 cm de ancho. Estas piezas cortadas en otro color de cartulina serviran para pegar adentro y afuera del cuerpo de la tarjeta.
Para hacer las pestañas moviles de esta tarjeta tan peculiar cortamos piezas de 19cm de largo por 3cm de ancho.
The pieces cut below are purely decorative. A piece measuring 28cm high by 11cm wide. We cut 4 pieces 28cm high by 5cm wide. These pieces cut from another color of cardstock will be used to glue inside and outside the body of the card.
To make the moving tabs for this very peculiar card, we cut pieces 19cm long by 3cm wide.
Con las pestañas cortadas, procedemos a marcar por extremo 3cmm y luego a 6cm, osea de 3 en 3 cm. Por el otro extremo se marca solo a 3 cm y es alli donde vamos a marcar.
En cada una de estas marcas se debe doblar hacia adentro, dandole forma de una especie de grapas.
With the eyelashes cut, we proceed to mark 3cm at each end and then at 6cm, that is, 3 cm at a time. On the other end we mark only 3 cm and that is where we are going to mark.
In each of these marks it must be folded inward, giving it the shape of a type of staple.
Sobre estas grapas de papel pegamos por el dorso unos recuadros recortados de con medidas de 6cm por 8cm.
On the back of these paper staples we glue some cut out boxes measuring 6cm by 8cm.
Para el cuerpo de la tarjeta vamos a armar el interior y el dorso con las piezas que cortamos previamente para decorar.
For the body of the card we are going to assemble the interior and the back with the pieces that we previously cut to decorate.
Para darle movimiento a esta tarjeta hay que pegar las piezas moviles o grapas de una manera determinada.
Fijate en la imagen, hay unas pegadas a la izquierda y otras a la derecha.
Para armarlo correctamente, pegamos la primera grapa de papel, desde el dobés de la solapa hasta el medio, todo el costado de la grapa de papel debe esta fija con pegamento.
La otra debe pegarde extendiendo toda la grapa de papel, solo doblando el ultimo extremo donde irá el pegamento.
Si no te sientes seguro de pegarlo directamente puedes probar primero con un poco de cinta adesiva hasta que encuentres la manera de hacer funcionar el mecanismo.
To give movement to this card you have to glue the moving parts or staples in a certain way.
Look at the image, there are some attached to the left and others to the right.
To assemble it correctly, we glue the first paper staple, from the dove of the flap to the middle, the entire side of the paper staple must be fixed with glue.
The other must be glued by extending the entire paper staple, only folding the last end where the glue will go.
If you don't feel confident about gluing it directly, you can try some masking tape first until you find a way to get the mechanism to work.
El mecanismo debe quedar así y abrir y cerrar con facilidad solo moviendo las solapas de la tarjeta.
Ahora solo resta decorar de la manera que quieras, el motivo, cumpleaños, san Valentin, Navidad o algun aniversario, tu lo decides.
The mechanism should remain like this and open and close easily just by moving the card flaps.
Now all that remains is to decorate the way you want, the reason, birthday, Valentine's Day, Christmas or an anniversary, you decide.
