Writing a good post can take hours, although sometimes they pour out of me like water when the inspiration hits and lands a knockout punch! But what I think is important to your future on Hive is to commit to some kind of action every. single. day.
Here's what I mean:
I'm a working student, so the time I have for posting and commenting has been reduced. I didn't have a lot of time today to write my usual 1000+ word magnum opus post, but I was able to put this together. What can I do on a daily basis, with the remaining free time that I have?
When I can't write a post, I leave a thoughtful comment (notice that word thoughtful). A comment such as that is something that is carefully considered, and adds to the content of the post.
Can't comment? I drop a short "Threet?" (Threads+Tweet, we need a name for this), in LeoFinance Threads.
No time for a Thread? Scan Hive for good content to upvote and reblog. I've been doing this the last few days as a way to contribute to the community while I'm recovering from working my shifts.
Think of ideas for your next post. I have an "Unfinished Posts" folder where I jot down post titles and little scraps that may one day develop into a complete Hive post.
Work on images in Canva. I love Canva, and what usually happens is I write the post first and then create a custom image for each one. But sometimes I get an idea for a killer image and create that before the post so that I don't lose the inspiration.
And of course lastly, I spread the word about Hive. We live in what I call a "Crypto Desert" and I swear Khal and Dan need to send in missionaries here in order to convert the heathen.
To these Luddites, crypto might as well be akin to Bigfoot (or known to the Native American Indian tribes as Sasquatch). Yet I continue to spread the word about the freedom and creative opportunities on offer in Hive, and you can too. You just need to find the #TimeToHive. :)
