Recently, I have had a squirrel that comes back almost every day to scratch on the wool chair covers on the terrace. This is probably because it wants to break apart some wool to bring back to the nest. So funny to see that the squirrel does not give up and has come back for a whole week to break apart this chair cover.
I had some pictures taken when the squirrel was there.
Unfortunately for him/her, the wool is pretty strongly attached so the squirrel doesn't succeed in bringing any with him. One day I cut a little bit of wool off the cover and put it on the table outside so the squirrel can bring some with it. It does look like he/she took some from the table because it seems to me that some of the wool is lost.
I did also put some nuts outside for the squirrel to take. As of today, all the nuts are still there and I haven't seen the squirrel for about 4 days. Maybe it collected enough materials for the nest and doesn't need to come back to pick on the chair cover anymore.
A couple of shots of the squirrel leaving.
