Server 450 Proprietary Failed

2022-12-23 - Friday - 11:57 AM - My Laptop Log.

My computer froze at 10:30 AM. I got up around 11:35 AM and found it frozen. Each day it freezes just like it is frozen outside. Not saying the are related as my 2021 ASUS Laptop is in the house and it does not get too cold or hot inside the computer I do not think. So, I hard forced it off and went into BIOS to turn off SVM (virtualization). I turned on quick boot so it can turn on and startup faster. Not sure if that that matters. Some or all of the other settings in BIOS I left the same as last time I was in it like yesterday. I think the UI restarted a second ago while I I was writing this. I saw the taskbar and menu freese and restart. My windows and tabs and such were not harmed. But a few windows I could not access for a second. Update. I rebooted. I am now running 450. Earlier in the month it was 470 or 4.70. I think it might be four point seventy. They leave out the point maybe. But I just write 470. I was at 510. Some of them did not work. I was at 515. This week I was trying 525 which was the newest I have seen this year. But now back down to 450. Specifically Server 450 Proprietary. I think 418 might be available too. I am not sure which one might be the best for my situation and particularly for my hardware. But I would like to wait for it to freeze again. I still need to try to check my SSD and see if it is bad or what.

Suspend Disabled On Server 450 Proprietary

I think I remember Suspend not working on some of the drivers under 470. Like not supported. But I wanted to test 450 today because I updated my OS I think in November 2022 apx. So perhaps I have not tested 450 on this newer OS version. But now I can say still no cigar. So, will try to update to Server 470 Proprietary right now.

Server 470 Proprietary Suspend Works

I restarted and tested Suspend and it worked on Server 470 Proprietary. I don't know if I tried this flavor of 470 before. I have at least two versions of 470 to pick from. There is the normal version and the server edition. Some of them may say tested or open. This particular 470 version said server and proprietary. Some of the drivers on my Ubuntu OS might say open instead of proprietary that is for the test. I think open means open source. Some of them might say tested meaning they were tested on Ubuntu OS I think. But the 470 version I am using right now only says Server and Proprietary. I do not remember which 470 versions I used in the past. Maybe I wrote it down. But I can try 470 for a while and see.

PURPOSE:
To maintain an outline, directory, timeline, log, and everything, relating to My Video Games Log from the 1900s and 2000s meaning video games relating to my life from the 20th century, the 21st century, where we are in current times, and beyond. Video games started like in the 1900s. I wanted to list a timeline of video games. Perhaps I should focus on games I've played, heard about, etc.
