Hope you're having a fantastic Sunday. A few days ago, I broke down how to yield farm on Harmony blockchain with minimal fees. Check out the post here to learn how to get started. As a simple farmer, I do farm on quite a few different blockchains for different reasons. Mainly because the fees on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain will eat you alive. Although, BSC transactions are cheaper, they can still add up really fast so if you're farming there I hope you're getting some mad gains. If you're farming on Ethereum, again I'll say I'm sorry for your loss. Anyway, we're not here to talk about losing money on fees. We're here to talk about yield farming on ultra stable xDai Blockchain. Fees are stable, and it has a native stable token called xDai. If you want to learn more about xDai and how to get set up, go here. You'll need to have Metamask configured so come back here once you've done that. Also, grab your overalls and hat cause' it's a hot one!

Step 1:

Let's head to SushiSwap again here. There are alternative places to farm, I just prefer SushiSwap since it works with Harmony as well. Make sure your Metamask network is set to xDai like shown below then let's take a look at the Farms page.

Step 2:

Pick a pair to farm. As you can see, there are not a ton of pairs available on xDai. There are what I would consider more stable pairs with lower yield than those you'll find on Harmony. Instead of locking your stable coins up in Celsius or whatever place is going to yield you 8-10% APR, you could farm a stablecoin pair and get up to 22% APR on xDai. Or you could just go open a shitty savings account as a shitty bank and fuck off with your 0.1% APR.

Step 3:

Once you have a farm picked, you'll need to get an equal amount of each token. For this example, I picked the LINK/WXDAI pair. I chose it because them gains and because it has a stable coin in the pair. Head to the Swap page and get your equivalent amounts. I swapped 12 XDAI for 12 WXDAI, or wrapped them. I also swapped 12 XDAI for 0.455427 LINK.

Step 4:

Now we need to provide liquidity to the LINK/WXDAI trading pair. Click the Liquidity tab and switch to your 2 tokens. You'll need to provide an equal amount of each, and it will calculate for you. You will have approve both tokens before you can add liquidity as well. Confirm adding liquidity and after a couple seconds you'll get a confirmation.

Look at that transaction fee. I mean, if you were doing all the transactions on Ethereum, you'd be rekt.

Step 5:

Head to the Farm page and click on the farm you picked, LINK/WXDAI. Here is where you stake your LP tokens to start farming that sweet, sweet yield. You'll have to approve the token transaction again then click Stake.

Step 6:

Take off yer hat and grab a cold beer or 2. You're now yield farming on xDai at 62% APR and you can harvest as much as you like, on account of those crazy low fees.
