Hi HODLers and Hiveans,
"Another one bites the dust"! The number of centralized exchanges that closed down their US-based operations is staggering.
In a Friday statement, the exchange said that customer funds were safe and should be withdrawn by April 30, while trading will continue for clients until April 14.
Only 30 days to move your funds out of Bittex if you are a US customer.
Bittrex management must be quite bitter after it agreed to pay a big sum to settle previous charges with the US Government.
Last year, Bittrex agreed to pay $29 million to settle enforcement cases with U.S. authorities for "apparent violations" of sanctions against countries including Iran, Cuba and Syria.
Soon, there will only be the US-native CEXs such as Coinbase and Kraken... But for how long? Coinbase has been actively looking another location to establish an HQ in case the US Governments wants to try to shutdown the crypto industry.
It really sucks as Bittrex is one of the first exchange I actually used due to its early adoption of STEEM and then HIVE...
Well, it is now clear that the US Establishment has declared war on crypto.
