I finally received my bib for the race of this weekend! Well, not really because they don't send them, we need to pick them up, which is a bit weird for a race of this size.
The 20km of Brussels will take place on Sunday at 10 am. I have a very good bib: the number 2128! It's kind of important because the number will influence your starting place.
There are around 40,000 runners at this race so the start is organized in several waves. With this number I will start with the first 6,000 runners (the yellow box as you can see on the enveloppe). It's nice when you want to do a good time because when you start at the end, you have to overtake other runners and it is sometimes not easy (I was in the back few years ago and it's really not easy at some point of the race).
Here you can see the course of the race. It's literally in the center of Brussels and it's quite fun to see only runners in some of the busiest street of the city (usually with cars).
It's going to be great and I'm really excited! Even if I can't do my objective, it's going to be a nice day! I'm just a bit worried about the weather. Not because of the rain but the temperature will be very high (we are not used to that in Belgium):
