This was my first lunch run of the year as I was not feeling so good last week. My legs were still sore from Sunday, but I need to get back into the routine if I'm to improve. I did my regular intervals run where they get longer from 30s to 90s and back down again. It always seems the sprints coincide with the hills.
On the way back I did the ourdoor gym workout. I'm determined to improve my general strength this year. I don't know if I can compensate for the loss of muscle in my right hand due to my nerve issue, but I'll give it a go.
As usual Endomondo reports a ridiculous max speed, but that 3km time is decent and I did spend a few minutes mostly stationary on the gym. Maybe I can achieve a 25 minute 5km this year. I want to do lots more parkrun, so I can track how I'm doing. I may invest in some trail shoes as it can be muddy.
I'd like to get back to running three times a week and do the long cycle home once a week too. I'd hope that will get me in shape for the half marathon.
