Explosive Weaponry Reboot
Rulesets: Explosive Weaponry + Taking Sides
Mana Cap: 18
League: Gold III
This is a follow-up post about Uriel The Purifier in Explosive Weaponry situations. At the end of last season, I got one more opportunity to test this strategy out. And once more, it worked out well!
In this battle, my opponent went with a build I almost chose to run as well. There was Djinn Oshannus in the front to dodge one attack or two thanks to its speed and Axemaster behind it to Double Strike from the back.

They both have decent speed, which is a huge advantage when every monster has the Blast ability. By relying on Speed, we can sometimes cut short the chances of the opponent to make use of all the pieces he or she had put on the field.
This time again, I've decided to have a bit of fun over playing it safe. So, I was basically counting on Uriel alone to carry my team. But before that, I had to absorb a few damages first to buy time for the Recharge ability to build up its power.
To do so, Pelacor Conjurer was in the front to Reflect potential magic attacks, and hopefully, dodge a few attacks thanks to its Flying ability combined with its Speed. As an off-tank, I chose Gargoya Scrapper because thanks to the Void ability, I thought it would most probably be able to absorb at least two Magic hits.

Then, in the back, I placed the Soul Fiend in the case my opponent went with Sneak monsters. I was trying to give the best chances to Uriel to reach the front with minimal damage and a huge Melee attack ready to be unleashed.
With a bit of luck, everything turned out very well. Axemaster missed the Pelacor Conjurer twice in a row, there were no Sneak monsters to worry about and, Gargoya Scrapper absorbed twice the Magic Attacks of Djinn Oshannus.
Uriel The Purifier, now in the front, it was time to cross our fingers to avoid missing our hit. The Pelacor Conjurer's Magic Reflect had dragged down the Djinn's HP to 9, which was the exact amount of damage Uriel could deal. Behind, the Axemaster had 6 HP, which was also the exact number of the Blast damage if successful.
Boom! Uriel managed to heavily hit Djinn Oshannus with its 9 Melee damage and consequently took down both opposite monsters with this ONE hit. It was really impressive to see two of the most reliable Water monsters get destroyed in this fashion.
As a little bonus, this battle allowed me to unlock my No Neutral Daily Quest of that day. I forgot what I've ended up having, as I was more concerned about my Win Rate in that last battle. According to splintertools.io, I had a solid 92% to 98% of winning this matchup.
