Hello everybody,
we got some questions from sponsors of @smartsteem who were asking why they didn't receive any profit-share payouts and we think this is a great question to answer.
Sponsor Payouts
As you may know - @smartsteem offers a bid-bot that votes every 2.4h and on which users can bid and gain a part of the vote. Check out the Bottracker
And this is only possible due to delegations from steemians who receive 90% of the revenue and are therefor called Sponsors.
Now, initially - the profits were send out to sponsors on a daily basis, but this created a lot of transactions. So we decided to create a minimum threshold to reduce the amount of transfers that go out.
Payout Thresholds
Right now - the thresholds are as following:
- 0.5 SBD/ STEEM - for users with less than 3000 SP delegated
- 3 SBD / STEEM - for users with more than 3000 SP delegated
This means that the pending Payouts will be send daily if the amount exceeds the threshold depending on the delegated STEEMPOWER.
