Hi there. Nice post. I like your writing style a lot, the approach you took is very good. Just a quick few notes, and this might not be as important. First, pH is actually defined as the negative log (base 10) of the ACTIVITY of hydrogen ions, not the concentration. Second, pH scale doesn't run from 1 to 14, many species can have pH that's negative and beyond 15. But otherwise, you have a nice writing style and your thoughts are well-ordered.
