Hassan and El-Hosn have a wonderful night together. Then the genies take Hassan to bring him back to Basra, but he ends up, quite naked, outside of Damascus where people gather around him in the morning.
ON THE NINTH NIGHT
Sheherazade said:
And, without distinguishing who was seated at the back, the old nurse, thinking she was talking to the hunchback, said to Hassan: "Get up, valiant hero, take your wife, and act brilliantly! And now, my children, may Allah be with you!" Then she withdrew.
Then the bride, Sett El-Hosn, with a very weak heart, came forward saying to herself: “No! rather give up the ghost than give myself up to this filthy hunchbacked groom!" But hardly had she taken a few steps when she recognized the marvelous Badreddine! Then she uttered a cry of bliss, and said: “O my darling! How kind of you to wait for me all this time! You are alone? What happiness! I will confess to you that I had thought, seeing you seated in the meeting room, side by side with the ugly hunchback, that the two of you had joined forces on me!" Badreddine replied: “O my mistress, what are you saying? How do you expect that hunchback to touch you? And how could he be my partner on you?" Sett El-Hosn answered: "But which of you two is my husband, you or him?" Badreddine replied: “It is I, my mistress! All this hunchback farce was only put on to make us laugh; and also to save you from the evil eye, because all the women in the palace have heard of your unique beauty, and your father hired that hunchback to serve as a foil to the evil eye; your father rewarded him with ten dinars; and now, by the way, the hunchback is in the stable swallowing, to our health, a pot of fresh curds!"
At these words of Badreddine, Sett El-Hosn was overwhelmed with pleasure; she began to smile kindly and laugh more kindly still; then suddenly, unable to restrain herself any longer, she exclaimed: “By Allah! my darling, take me! take me! Hold me! Fix me on your lap!" And, as Sett El-Hosn had taken off her clothes from below, she found herself quite naked under her dress. Also, in saying these words: “Fasten me to your bosom!" she slightly lifted her dress at the height of her vulva and thus revealed in all their magnificence her thighs and her jasmine ass. At this sight and the aspect of the details of this flesh of houri, Badreddine felt the desire to go around his body and lift the sleeping child! And immediately he got up hastily, undressed, and took off his vast breeches with innumerable folds; he took away the purse containing the thousand dinars which the Jew of Bassra had given him, and placed it on the divan, under his breeches; then he took off his beautiful turban and put it on a chair and covered himself with a light night turban which had been put there for the hunchback; and he remained clad only in the fine silk muslin shirt embroidered with gold and the ample blue silk underpants, fastened at the waist with a cord with gold tassels.
Badreddine undid the cords and rushed on Sett El-Hosn who held out his whole body to him, and they embraced each other, and Badreddine took Sett El-Hosn and knocked her down on the couch, and swooped down on her! He squatted with his legs apart and grabbed Sett El-Hosn's thighs and pulled them to him, spreading them apart. And then he pointed the ram, which was quite ready, in the direction of the fort, and pushed this valiant ram, driving it into the breach: and immediately the breach gave way. And Badreddine exulted when he saw that the pearl was imperforated and that no ram before his had penetrated it or even touched it with the tip of his nose! And he also checked that this behind of blessing had never been loaded under the assault of a fitter!
Also, at the height of enjoyment, he robbed her of this virginity and delighted at his ease in the taste of this youth. And, nail on nail, the ram worked fifteen times in succession, going in and out, without interruption; and it was not bad at all.
Also, from that moment, without a doubt, Sett El-Hosn was pregnant, as you will see later, O Emir of the Believers.
As Badreddine finished driving in the fifteen posts, he said to himself: “That’s probably enough for now." And then he lay down beside Sett El-Hosn, put his hand gently under her head and Sett El-Hosn also put her arms around him; and the two embraced each other tightly and, before falling asleep, recited these admirable stanzas:
Fear not! And let your spear penetrate the object of your love!
And disregard the advice of the envious; for it is not your envious person who will serve your love!
Dream! The Clement has not created a more beautiful spectacle than that of two lovers entwined on their bed!
Look at them! here they are stuck on top of each other, covered with blessings!
Their hands and arms serve as pillows!
When the world sees two hearts bound by fiery passion, it tries to strike them with cold iron!
But you, ignore it! Whenever your destiny places beauty in your path,
It is she who must be loved; it is with her that we must live, only!
So much for Hassan Badreddine and Sett El-Hosn, the daughter of his uncle!
As for the male genie, he hastened to fetch the female genie, his companion, and both came to admire the two sleeping young people, after watching their games and counting the ram strokes. Then the male genie said to the female genie, his companion: “Come on, my sister, you see that I was right!" Then he added: “Now it is your turn to kidnap the young man, and transport him to the same place where I had taken him, to the cemetery of Bassra, to the türbe of his father Noureddine! And hurry, and I will help you, for the morning is about to appear." Then the female genie lifted the sleeping young Hassan, loaded him on her shoulders, dressed as he was with only the shirt, for the underpants had not been able to hold in the middle of his antics, and she flew away with him, closely followed by the male genie. At one point, in this race through the air, the male genie had lustful ideas about the female genie, and wanted to rape her thus loaded with the beautiful Hassan; and the female genie would have been happily taken by the male genie, but she was afraid for Hassan. Moreover, Allah intervened fortunately, and sent against the male genie angels who launched on him a pillar of fire that burned him. And the female genie and Hasan were thus delivered from the terrible genie which might have damaged them: for the genie is terrible in copulation! Then the female genie descended to the ground, at the very place where the male genie had been thrown, with which she would have copulated well, without the presence of Hassan, for whom she greatly feared.
Now, it was written by Destiny that the place where the female genie would deposit the young Hassan Badreddine, not daring to carry him any further on her own, would be very close to the city of Damascus, in the country of Syria. Then the female genie carried Hassan close to one of the city gates, gently set him down, and flew away.
At daybreak, the gates of the city were opened, and the people, on leaving, were astonished to see this marvelous boy asleep, dressed only in a shirt, wearing on his head, instead of a turban, a night cap, and, moreover, without underpants! And they said to themselves: “It is astonishing that he must have been awake, to be sunk in such a deep sleep now!" But others said: “Allah! God! handsome boy! Happy and lucky the woman who slept with him! But why is he so naked?" Others replied: "Probably the poor young man will have spent more time at the cabaret than was necessary! And he drank more than his capacity! And when he came back in the evening, he must have found the city gates closed, and he decided to sleep on the floor!"
However, while they were talking like this, the morning breeze rose and came to caress the handsome Hassan and lifted his shirt: we saw then appear a belly, thighs, and legs, all like crystal! a zebb and very well proportioned eggs. And this sight amazed all the people who admired all this.
At that moment, Badreddine woke up and found himself lying near that unknown door and surrounded by all those people; so he was greatly surprised and exclaimed: “Where am I, good people? Tell me, please! And why do you surround me like this? So what is it?" They replied: "For us, we stopped to look at you, just for fun! But, for you, don't you know that you are at the gate of Damascus? Where have you spent the night to be so naked?"
At this point in her narration, Sheherazade saw the morning appear and quietly fell silent.*
