A Different Kind of Company
Nestor had a good friend, KD, who was a graphic designer living in Copenhagen. After explaining all the references in the name of their company, he asked KD to create a logo for NeMo Trucking Software Inc. And this is what KD sent:
Nestor and Moana really liked the logo, which could be interpreted in several ways: a submarine, an oval porthole or the front of a truck.
They displayed the logo everywhere, including on the driver doors of their trucks.
From the beginning, before creating the company, they had decided that they would always keep control of the company. This meant that the company would always stay private and that they would never accept external money. The shareholders, in addition to the founders, would only be employees or consultants working for the company.
If the company was not successful, they still had sources of income: both could continue to be truckers, and Nestor was still working part-time for RG Core Technologies. So, they could go slowly, without anxiety, to develop software products.
They had also decided that they would not be greedy and that the company was not a vehicle to make them filthy rich. They hoped that they would be able to live comfortably. If the company becomes very successful they would find a way to finance other entities with the same philosophy, either other companies or charitable organizations.
In April 2026, Nestor proposed to Moana, in the cabin of her truck which was running autonomously. Moana accepted immediately and they planned for a wedding in June.
