Here's one of my favorite places to go for Hainanese Chinese cuisine and my weekly choice - Yut Kee Restaurant.
They've been open for more than 90 years now and I guess I'm gonna see it running till it hits a century while I'm still alive.
Located right in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, this is a must try destination for any local or overseas travellers.
Here are some of the items that you have got to try when you go to Yut Kee.
(The menu)
(Hainanese Chicken Chop)
One of their signature items here. They probably run through a couple of hundred every week.
(Me enjoying my Chicken Chop)
(table menu of their signatures)
(beef noodles. This one here is a dry type. They also serve soup type with choices for noodle type)
(Roti Babi - translated as Pork Bread. A stuffed fried bread with pork and onions)
(Hokkien Mee - really really good noodles. Highly recommended if you come by this place)
(Hainanese Chicken Rice)
(Some pictures of the place and building. Gorgeous!)
Final reviews:
Ambiance & Hygiene: 4 star
Taste & Flavor: 5 star
Authenticity: 5 star
Price/Budget: (RM11/3 USD)
It's a super busy place so don't bring your date here for a quite meal and if you feel chatty. It's a place to get your food, eat them, and get out of the place because there are lines and lines of people that'll be queuing for a table.
You'll even have to sit with strangers sometimes if there isn't any table available. Really really old school kind of coffee shop that's continuing traditions all around not just the food.
Highly recommend this place and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.
