One thing interesting on the internet is seeing people talking about conspiracy theories. Here in my town, we have a Facebook group that I use a lot to find recommendations for good services, like a plumber or electrician. I found nice referrals there for this type of service. Also, they post a lot about new restaurants in town or important things like accidents or fires. However, there are unnecessary discussions sometimes. Unnecessary exposition of other people that can even bring some judicial problems, for example. However, one topic that comes up quite often is about chemtrails.

It is always a similar post, people just take a random picture of the sky with some minicloud trails caused by airplanes and start to worry about. I wasn't aware of this "problem" until I heard about it in a podcast about the topic. We are talking about contrails. These are regular condensations of airplane exhaust freezing in crystals, which are typically water. That trails can last for a couple of minutes, especially if it is very cold in high altitudes. In Rio, it was rare to observe that, since we need at least -40 °C in high altitude. When I came to Canada, I saw that quite often. But I heard that in the South of Brazil, that can happen more often as well, since it is colder compared to where I used to live.

Here I Canada and also in the US is more frequent to see these airplane contrails. And people started to conclude that there is something in these mini clouds with lots of chemicals that are released on purpose. Airlines would be receiving payment from people who want to control the weather, or the population, or even control birth rates. That is called chemtrails. The level of concern raised so much that some conservative US states decided to pass bills to prohibit chemtrails.

Right now 8 US states are seeking to ban chemtrails, the last one was Lousiana . So politicians are spending resources to focus on problems that no one has scientific proof of. Even RFK Jr., the current health secretary of the country, already stated concerns about chemtrails. It is interesting how people always associate this conspiracy matters with guys like Bill Gates. Poor Bill with his Microsoft company is always behind the world domination efforts.

It is tough to discuss with people about this topic. Once I tried to discuss and as an answer of proof, they sent me a link to a YouTube video. In this video appears a supposed pilot talks about the obligation of pushing a red button in the aircraft, that if they don't push they would get discounts in their paychecks. But in the end, the same pilot says that it was just a joke that chemtrails don't exist. So the person who sent me the video didn't watch it until the end! So awkward. In the end it is just a conspiracy theory product from creative minds, at least there is a nice coin from Intaglio Mint from their conspiracy series which I still don't have! It is always interesting to see this type of thinking and how lack of scientific proofs forms such a gossip-like phenomenon.

Uma coisa interessante na internet é ver pessoas falando sobre teorias da conspiração. Aqui na minha cidade, temos um grupo no Facebook que uso bastante para encontrar recomendações de bons serviços, como encanador ou eletricista. Encontrei boas indicações lá para esse tipo de serviço. Além disso, eles postam bastante sobre novos restaurantes na cidade ou coisas importantes, como acidentes ou incêndios. No entanto, às vezes há discussões desnecessárias. Exposição desnecessária de outras pessoas que pode até gerar problemas judiciais, por exemplo. No entanto, um tópico que surge com bastante frequência é sobre chemtrails.

É sempre um post parecido, as pessoas simplesmente tiram uma foto aleatória do céu com algumas trilhas de mininuvens causadas por aviões e começam a se preocupar. Eu não sabia desse "problema" até ouvir sobre ele em um podcast sobre o assunto. Estamos falando de rastros de condensação. São condensações regulares de gases de escape de avião congelando em cristais, que normalmente são água. Esses rastros podem durar alguns minutos, especialmente se estiver muito frio em altitudes elevadas. No Rio, era raro observar isso, já que precisamos de pelo menos -40 °C em altitudes elevadas. Quando vim para o Canadá, vi isso com bastante frequência. Mas ouvi dizer que no Sul do Brasil isso também pode acontecer com mais frequência, já que é mais frio em comparação com onde eu morava.

Aqui no Canadá e também nos EUA é mais frequente ver esses rastros de condensação de aviões. E as pessoas começaram a concluir que havia algo nessas mininuvens com muitos produtos químicos liberados propositalmente. As companhias aéreas estariam recebendo pagamento de pessoas que querem controlar o clima, a população ou até mesmo controlar as taxas de natalidade. Isso se chama chemtrails. O nível de preocupação aumentou tanto que alguns estados conservadores dos EUA decidiram aprovar projetos de lei para proibir os chemtrails.

Neste momento, oito estados americanos estão tentando proibir os chemtrails, o último foi a Louisiana . Então, os políticos estão gastando recursos para se concentrar em problemas dos quais ninguém tem comprovação científica. Até mesmo RFK Jr., o atual secretário de saúde do país, já manifestou preocupação com os chemtrails. É interessante como as pessoas sempre associam essas questões de conspiração a pessoas como Bill Gates. O pobre Bill, com sua empresa Microsoft, está sempre por trás dos esforços de dominação mundial.

É difícil discutir com as pessoas sobre esse assunto. Certa vez, tentei discutir e, como resposta de prova, me enviaram o link de um vídeo do YouTube. Nesse vídeo, aparece um suposto piloto falando sobre a obrigação de apertar um botão vermelho na aeronave, que, se não apertasse, teria desconto no salário. Mas, no final, o mesmo piloto diz que era só uma brincadeira que chemtrails não existem. Então, a pessoa que me enviou o vídeo não assistiu até o final! Que constrangedor. No fim das contas, é só uma teoria da conspiração criada por mentes criativas. Pelo menos tem uma moeda bacana da Intaglio Mint, da série de conspirações , que eu ainda não tenho! É sempre interessante ver esse tipo de pensamento e como a falta de comprovações científicas cria um fenômeno tão parecido com fofocas.
