If you are one of my loyal followers, you may remember reading my article titled "HubPages Needs To Fix Its Comments-Section Feature" from a year ago. Well, the HubPages writing platform has taken this same debacle one step further and has shut off its comments-section feature altogether. That is, all of the articles on the HubPages writing platform no longer have a comments section where you can respond to the contents of each article. Members of HubPages or rather Hubbers are complaining about it left and right.
A while back when the HubPages writing platform decided to shut down its comments-section feature systemwide, the HubPages Editing Team told everyone that they were going to bring back the comments-section feature to enable Hubbers to post anywhere they wanted to in response to articles published on that same platform. However, nothing has been done about it since then. Hubbers can still participate in discussion threads on that writing platform, but, of course, it does not replace the kind of interaction a Hubber gets whenever he or she posts in the comments section of an article.
Once again I am not attempting to discourage anyone from joining the HubPages writing platform. I do not expect for that writing platform to leave the comments-section feature turned off for too long. I am a Hubber myself, and I do not regret for one moment ever having joined HubPages. As a matter of fact, I see good things happening with it in the future, and I intend to stay on board with them.
Some people like to publish articles on a writing platform without getting any feedback, because they may post very controversial articles that may get shouted down immediately. I am not one of those people. If I publish something on a writing platform, I want to be able to hear what others have to say about it and I like the interaction I get in replying to those individuals. Oh, well. Different strokes for different folks. In any event, if you plan on joining the HubPages writing platform, it will be a while before any article you publish on that writing platform will have a comments section. Sometimes one simply has to roll with the punches to reap the benefits of something in the long run.
