If I want to create certain effects in light painting, I need special tools. Today I'm going to look at how I can make these tools easily.

I find the phenomenon particularly fascinating when the sun shines through the fog and the sunlight is cut into “stripes” by the trees. To capture these moments, I often head out into the forest.

Last weekend, the studios in Steinhagen opened their doors to visitors. Interested Visitors were portrayed by me and followed live on screen how the light painting portrait was created.

As already announced, I am no longer limiting myself to light-painting and am now getting into photography with invisible light. I started my first attempts with IR photography.

Part two follows today, using other techniques that show a slightly simpler method of capturing star trails.

As I announced in my last post, today is not about light painting, or is it? At least I'm not actively painting with light, but the Earth's rotation and the stars are doing the work for me.

How time flies! I've been posting something about light painting here every Sunday for tree years now and there's still no end in sight.
