Hello Chocolate Fans,

I recently wrote about the Toblerone Fruit & Nut Chocolate Large Bar and I absolutely loved that. Then my friend told be about the Orange Toblerone she had seen. She hasn't had it yet, but I told my husband to keep an eye out for it. He did and brought this home to me. Was this going to be as yummy as the Fruit & Nut one? Read on to find out more.

Toblerone Orange Twist Large Bar

"Swiss milk chocolate with candied orange peel with ginger and with honey and almond nougat."*

I had my bar sat on my lap and ripped open the end and tipped out the triangle tube of chocolate. I pierced the foil and broke my first piece of chocolate orange Toblerone off. The large bars are quite thick and bite a huge chunk off. Hmm... well the chocolate tasted a bit strange. Yes, there was orange, but it wasn't the chocolate orange taste I was after. There were bits of peel throughout the bar and I did get a slight taste of ginger. There were crunchy bits of honey and almond, but this had no flavour at all. I definitely couldn't pick up the honey and almond taste at all. The orange definitely overpowered this bar and not in a nice way.

When I first had this, I had just finished off some sour cream and chive muchos. I thought this had an impact on the taste I was getting. So last night, I decided to have some more of my bar. IO had nothing beforehand and guess what? The taste was the same!! I did finish the bar, but that was only because I didn't want this hanging around my home. The bar certainly wasn't worth the calories at all. I definitely would not recommend this at all and I love chocolate orange!
