Hi all you awesome Silvery Bloggers!
We are back with another bunch of posts from the latest Silver Bloggers Silver Prompt - it's that time when we share some of your gems.
Silver Prompt 2: Hobbies, crafts, and retirement
We asked you to write about a craft or hobby that you don't know much about but would like to learn in your silver years.
Curation eyes over Prizes
Whilst there were no prizes for the initiative we promised that selected blogs will be included in a special #SilverPrompts curation post.
And as we have previously announced we are looking at ways to better reward current active Silver Bloggers, so could be surprising some of our Bloggers with a slice of the rewards on posts published by our community account, @hive-106316, as is the case of this #SilverPrompts curation post.
So my advice to our Silver Bloggers is to start sharing your silvery stories with us.
How posts are selected
The posts we select to showcase must not only have been posted in our community, but the account must also be subscribed to it. Also, the topic must fit in with our general themes as set out on our community page -
Excluded
Posts that are not a response to #SilverPrompts or did not follow the rules are not considered.
If you missed some of the awesome posts, we encourage you to go back and read them. If you would still like to support the authors, even though some are past their payout dates, you can leave a tip. (The web versions of @peakd and @ecency offer this facility.)
Silver Prompt 2: Hobbies, crafts, and retirement
This prompt, four of the team, shared their hobbies with us:
- Our Founder, Silver-blonde Lizzie would love to continue Searching for my Roots, she has found ancestors from many European countries and would love to explore her family tree even further.
- Silver Flower cheekily admitted to us that in Sourdough - it's a journey of constant learning she has perfected her buns and now moved onto to perfecting her bread!
- Silver Cat told us of Some hobbies to retake although this will depend on her little kitten Grogu letting her. And, of course, if she and hubby can get fit enough!
- Silver Scot in his To loom or Not to Loom post shows off the two beanie hats he knitted with a loom, which resulted in two adult hats being requested from Silver Bloggers and a little cat hat for his nephew!
Why not pop over and read their contributions?

Hobbies, Crafts and Retirement.
by @devania Silver Orchid

Some time ago I was motivated to learn cross stitch embroidery, so I looked for some tutorials and started to make some projects with this type of embroidery, I really enjoyed doing this work, it was very relaxing, it helped me to concentrate, I could spend hours immersed in this work, I have been planning to take it up again, but I still do not have a clear idea, since I want to make my own design, but I know that one day a project will emerge from this in my head.
I plan to learn crochet
by @mjvdc Sweet Silver

For several years I have admired seeing the beautiful things that are made with crochet, I have not had enough commitment to learn, I have always left it for later, it is one of those things that I think that one day I will learn.
THE NEW HOBBY~~~Silver Prompt 2: Hobbies, crafts, and retirement
by @farm-mom Jackie O'Silver

We decided one morning it was time to buy a trail camera. We had had one some 20 plus years earlier and always talked about how cool it would be to have a new one to discover and capture new wildlife here on the #homestead.
