Welcome to the Golem Overlord Module Guide!
The purpose of this series of guides is to introduce you to the features and mechanics of modules and crafting in Golem Overlord. This is the ninth post of the series and will explain the details of Pyrite.

What is Pyrite?
Pyrite is an in-game currency that was introduced as part of the crafting features of Golem Overlord. Pyrite is a required component in most functions of the Pyrite Forge, which currently includes crafting, upgrading, rerolling, and adding quality to modules.
How to See Your Pyrite Balance
You can view your pyrite balance from the inventory screen or the Pyrite Forge. Your total balance is shown in the top right corner as identified by the red arrows in the image below.
How to Get Pyrite
Currently, the only way to get Pyrite is by dismantling Forge Sigils, Advisors, and Nano Tonics.
Pure Pyrite Forge Sigils
Currently, the best items to dismantle for pyrite are the Pure Pyrite Forge Sigils. They are designed specifically for the purpose of dismantling to obtain pyrite. They grant three times the pyrite when dismantled compared with other items.
Pure Pyrite can drop in scarce, precious, exceptional, invaluable, and enigma rarities. The description in the middle "Grants 3 times the Pyrite when dismantled" means:
- Scarce Rarity Pure Pyrite (Green) = grants a total of 6 Pyrite when dismantled (burned).
- Precious Rarity Pure Pyrite (Blue) = grants a total of 12 Pyrite when dismantled (burned).
- Exceptional Rarity Pure Pyrite (Purple) = grants a total of 48 Pyrite when dismantled (burned).
- Invaluable Rarity Pure Pyrite (Yellow) = grants a total of 192 Pyrite when dismantled (burned).
- Enigma Rarity Pure Pyrite (Orange) = grants a total of 768 Pyrite when dismantled (burned).
How to Dismantle
You can dismantle items one by one or several at a time using the mass dismantle feature.
Dismantling One Forge Sigil
These instructions apply the same to dismantle Forge Sigils, Advisors, and Nano Tonics. For this guide, I will only be dismantling Forge Sigils but the process is the same for any type of dismantling.
To dismantle a single Forge Sigil, go to your inventory page and click on the item you want to dismantle. For this example, I will dismantle an Arcane Dice that I don't plan to use.
After I click on the Arcane Dice, it brings up the "Manage NFT" menu. The menu gives me the option to "Dismante for 7" pyrite. After selecting this option, the game prompts me to approve the transaction with the Hive Keychain.
After approving the transaction with Hive Keychain, this in-game message is displayed confirming that the Arcane Dice NFT has been dismantled for 7 pyrite.
Mass Dismantling
Your inventory page has a "Mass Dismantle" button on the right side of the screen. This is useful if you have several items you want to dismantle at the same time.
After selecting the "Mass Dismantle" button, the inventory screen changes to look like this. It shows any items you can dismantle in grey with the amount of pyrite gained from dismantling shown next to the pyrite symbol.
In this example, I've selected two invaluable Pure Pyrite to dismantle. The menu on the right shows that I will get 384 pyrite by dismantling two NFTs.
After I click "Dismantle 2 NFTS" I get the sign message prompt from hive keychain.
After confirming the transaction with Hive Keychain, this in-game message is displayed showing that I successfully dismantled 2 NFTs for 384 pyrite. It says "fragments" but this is an error I've reported to Yixn.
How to Use Pyrite
Pyrite is used in the Pyrite Forge within Golem Overlord for crafting and adding quality to modules. Many of the previous posts in the module guide show examples of how to use pyrite in these processes. For this reason, I won't give a lot of examples in this post. Please see the other posts in the module guide for a variety of examples of how to use pyrite.
Below is an example from the Golem Overlord Module Guide: Quality, where I burn 1296 pyrite to increase the quality of an Omega Amplifier from +3 to +4.
Pyrite Costs
These are the costs I've been able to identify for crafting and adding quality to modules. If you know any of the costs for cells that are empty, please let me know here in the comments or on Discord.
Future Uses for Pyrite
Observant readers may have noticed that Golem Overlord's Updated Short to Mid-Term Roadmap hinted at another potential use for pyrite in the future.
According to this, it may be possible to use pyrite to upgrade Forge Sigils in the future. This would be incredibly useful and many players have expressed a desire to upgrade Forge Sigils to improve the chances of crafting better modules.

In the next post, Golem Overlord Module Guide: Apex Mark Explained I explain in detail how the new Apex Mark Forge Sigil works.
Please leave feedback on this post in the comments or the Golem Overlord Discord. I'll do my best to keep it updated as a reference for players.
