Weekend has always been special to most people. After the tiring days from work, some of them are having their rest days during the weekend, and spend it with their loved ones. May it be staying at home, having fun outdoors, or eating somewhere fancy. It depends on how we wanted to spend the days without worrying on the work loads. And as for me, I love spending the weekends at home since it means good foods will be served during lunch time.
I don't know if it's just a tradition to us, but most of the time, we are trying to eat lunch together especially when my two brothers are at home too, with their wives. And today, let me share with you what we had for lunch.
I know, it doesn't look fancy and seems like just an ordinary food but it's very special to us. It's the kind of food that will surely give you the most satisfying burp. Actually, living in the province gives us the privilege to eat such foods in a more affordable price.
Here, we had some dried fish. I don't excatly know the name of it, but this one's really good when paired with some spicy vinegar sauce. My brother's wife cooked one plate of it since she already knew the drill on how much we love eating this one.
Next, we also had some fried fish. This time, it was bought fresh from the market. They fried it and made sure to prepare some side dishes too. We always wanted to pair it up with onion leaves and tomatoes, as they are a perfect match.
The fresh tomatoes and onion leaves are not enough side dishes for us. Lastly, they prepared sauteed tomatoes and white onions in the pan. It was just a quick cooking to add some side dishes in our lunch. A small portion of seasoning was added to make it taste better.
After the cooking sessions, we already prepared everything in the table and started the feast. As usual, a portion of good food deserves a n all-out feast with the family. Glad it went well, and everyone had their satisfying burps from our Saturday lunch.
