Going for a walk does not mean you have to be in lovely and famous places, or enter the biggest city malls around. Sometimes you just need to be able to breathe, and spend a few walks in a spot that give comfort. And I got so lucky to have an access in a place where greenery and nature surrounds me. Here's another #WednesdayWalk at the river near us.
It's another day to survive, and to keep moving. But instead of staying at home, it would be best if we choose to grab our slippers and take a walk. Every time I have enough free time, I always make sure to spend a few minutes of outdoor fun - whether it's through a bonding with friends, or an ordinary walking around our place. As usual, my destination is the river and mountain that are only a few steps away from home.
We surely have a beautiful scenery of nature here, so I understand why most people choose this place to unwind or spend time with nature. As you can see, the cars are parked near the cottages (nipa huts). Maybe it's because of the sight of the mountain ranges that made this spot more popular.
As I continue walking, I chose to go near the river to hear the water flowing, and even have a glimpse of the people who enjoys swimming.
When I found the best spot for my plan to unwind and grind peacefully, I heard someone calling my name. It’s a friend of mine, and she asked me to go with them as they were celebrating her brother’s migration to another country. I was shy at first, but she told me to only grab some foods and she’ll accompany me going back to where I was.
Out of courtesy, I said yes. We grabbed some foods and went back to my spot right away. I got myself a rice meal, with some of the best viands they prepared. She started eating with me, so I decided to enjoy my plan to unwind with some good portion of food.
While eating, I cannot stop myself from appreciating this picnic site we have here in our community. People love our river, and the mountain also caught the attention of most visitors. As I look around, I saw kids enjoying a dip in the flowing water.
The pine trees also add up on the hype, and they make the picture-taking moments amazing. I saw some of the visitors taking pictures from the pine trees but I was hesitant to photograph them. To make something productive out of this outdoor walk I had, I brought my favorite mini laptop with me and started doing some write-ups.
Under the green leaves and beside the flowing water of the river, I found this place the best spot for my grind. I focused on what I was writing the whole time, since my friend also respected my personal time. I enjoyed listening to the sound of the water, the laughter coming from the visitors, and the birds singing. Plus, the keyboard tapping also made a rhythm with all of them. Indeed, a great place for an outdoor fun and grind.
I cannot express how thankful I am to those who have taken the time to read what I have written today. Your support means everything to me. Please acknowledge the sincere thanks I feel for each and every one of you. I hope to see you on my next blog and look forward to it!
