Greetings of the day Hive family!
So here we are...one week is over for Ramadan 2021! The past 7 days went so quickly and now we are left with only 3 more weeks before Eid!
All Muslims fasting for the month of Ramadan will tell you the same thing...the next 2 weeks will pass by even quicker than the first...it's always the same...
Maybe because we are so used to the fasting days and they just pass by just like that...like a habit!
Let's make the most out of the remaining days by doing maximum good deeds which are in our control.
So, if you have been following my blog, since day 1 of Ramadan, I have been sharing all my daily Iftaar table exclusively on my Hive blog for everyone to get to know our culture here in Mauritius!

Here in Mauritius, today was our 7th fasting day and below is my iftaar table that I set up earlier for breaking our fast at home!
Today's table was less loaded than the previous six...
You know why!?
Oh yes...because our favorite rice dish was present on the table...Beef Biryani!
Whenever we have a dish like Biryani on our table, automatically we prepare less fried snacks or else it will be impossible to enjoy it!
Biryani is like the flagship of all foods for the Muslims Community here...oh well, everybody's favorite infact!
This is my plate with the usual condiments...Tomato salad, Cucumber, crushed chili and tamarind compote!
Snacks!
Only two snacks managed to make their way on the table...
Potato & Cheese Samosas and Fish Risolle!
And dates are always there as they are always good to eat!
Fruits and Drinks!
I was lucky to get my hands on a quarter of watermelon yesterday...it was the last on the market stalls!
Put it to chill and served it for Iftaar...it was sooo sweet and refreshing!
And as drinks, we had the usual Milk tea for me, Moroccan mint tea for my wife, Alouda , water and strawberry soft for the kids!
The cucumber and tomato salad is a must when having a nice plate of Biryani specially beef one!
For sure I will share the recipe on my blog one of these days!
Oh wait!
Did I mention that Biryani taste best when eaten directly by hands!??
Here's my daughter enjoying her's...digging in without barriers!Lol!
As you've noticed, the Biryani dominated my Iftaar table today...and it was super delicious!
And just like that...my 7th Iftaar table post is nearing its end...hope you've enjoyed it!
Wish you all a pleasant day/evening ahead!
