Hello to all the community of @foodiesbeehive a pleasure to greet you again😘 I am happy to bring you more interesting content and super delicious recipes👩🏻🍳 In today's post I will show you a super rich recipe of battered arepas ideal for a snack or breakfast, it is super delicious and very easy to make, the ingredients we have at home and are not so expensive, if you want to see the preparation and ingredients read on. ⬇️
• Arepas cocidas ( preferiblemente viejas).
• 1 Huevo.
• 1 taza de harina de trigo
• 1 pizca de sal.
• Aceite para freir
Ingredients.🍴 .
- Cooked Arepas (preferably old ones).
- 1 egg.
- 1 cup of wheat flour
- 1 pinch of salt.
- Oil for frying
Preparation.🍴 .
La receta conciste en tomar arepas que quedaron sin rellenar del día anterior y picarlas en pedazos y remojarlas por 1 o 2 horas en agua y luego rellenarlas, en mi caso no tenía arepas ya hechas pero igual quise hacer esta receta, hice arepas normales sin rellenar.
The recipe is based on taking arepas that were not filled the day before and chop them into pieces and soak them for 1 or 2 hours in water and then fill them, in my case I didn't have any arepas already made but I wanted to make this recipe anyway, I made normal arepas without filling them.
Luego coloque el huevo en un recipiente y lo revolvi con ayuda de un tenedor.
Then place the egg in a bowl and stir it with the help of a fork.
**Para luego colocarle la harina y revolver muy bien hasta forma una mezcla homogénea. **
Then add the flour and stir well until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
Por último le agrego la pizca de sal y lista. La mezcla está lista.
Finally I add the pinch of salt and that's it. The mixture is ready.
Las podemos rellenar como queramos, las personas le agregan mantequilla, jamón, carne, pollo, queso entre otros. Yo en mi caso le agregué solo quedó blanco rallado.
We can fill them however we want, people add butter, ham, meat, chicken, cheese, among others. In my case I only added grated white meat.
Ya con todos los ingredientes listo proceso a picarlas en pedazos ( repito 👀 las relleno sin remojar por que las arepas la realize al instante ).
Once all the ingredients are ready, I chop them into pieces (I repeat 👀 I fill them without soaking them because I make the arepas right away).
Luego de eso procedo a rellenarlas con el queso, un dato para que no se salga el relleno cuando la sumergimos me la mezcla es hacer precio con el relleno y luego al cerrar la arepa hacer presión de que todo el relleno se quede adentro.
After that I proceed to fill them with the cheese, a tip so that the filling does not come out when we submerge it in the mixture is to make a price with the filling and then when closing the arepa make pressure so that all the filling stays inside.
Mientras las rellenamos ponemos a calentar un sartén con abundante aceite, es muy importante que el aceite esté bien caliente para que se doren muy bien.
While we fill them we heat a frying pan with plenty of oil, it is very important that the oil is very hot so that they brown very well.
Luego de haber rellenado la arepa la sumergimos en la mezcla del huevo con la harina de trigo, nos aseguramos que la mezcla cubra toda la arepa ya esto hará que el relleno no se salga.
After filling the arepa, dip it in the egg mixture with the wheat flour, making sure that the mixture covers the entire arepa so that the filling does not come out.
Tomamos la arepa llena de la mezcla y la colocamos en el aceite con mucho cuidado, es importante que se dore muy bien por los dos lados.
Take the arepa filled with the mixture and place it in the oil very carefully, it is important that it browns very well on both sides.

De esta manera hemos llegado al final de este maravilloso post, debo acotar que esta receta la aprendí de mi abuela ya que ella me las hacía cuando yo era chiquita y luego aprendí hacerlas, siempre me han gustado estás tostadas por que son suaves y muy ricas, no requiere mucho tiempo para hacer y son perfectas para degustar como desayuno, merienda, cena, por que son muy prácticas para cualquier ocasión, saben super ricas cuando están recién hechas ya que el queso se funde por dentro. De verdad que son una delicia🫓😋.
