Die heutige Tramstation Tierspital wurde als eine von drei unterirdischen Stationen in einem Tramtunnel (Unterplaster-Strassenbahn) in den 1970er Jahren errichtet, bevor sich die Stadt Zürich für ein ausgeklügeltes, oberirdisches Netz des Öffentlichen Verkehrs entschieden hat, und das U-Bahn-Projekt scheiterte.
(ENG) Metro stations in Zurich could look this futuristic. Today's Animal Hospital tram station was built as one of three underground stations in a tram tunnel (sub-plaster tramway) in the 1970s, before the city of Zurich opted for a sophisticated, above-ground public transport network and the underground railway project failed.
(ESP) Las estaciones de metro de Zúrich podrían ser así de futuristas. La actual estación de tranvía del Hospital de Animales se construyó como una de las tres estaciones subterráneas de un túnel para tranvías (tranvía de subenvase) en la década de 1970, antes de que la ciudad de Zúrich optara por una sofisticada red de transporte público en superficie y fracasara el proyecto de ferrocarril subterráneo.
