Hello there Splinterfam and Hivers! Last week was the end of the season, we consolidated ourselves in Diamond II and recently we returned to this league, little by little we are consolidating ourselves in the modern format while we continue to strengthen our Rebellion rewards card deck. Both in chests and buying card draws we are slowly upgrading our cards.

⚔️1st Battle/1era Batalla: Thunderhoof Nomad & Ujurak Elder⚔️

In this battle we will do it differently, we will use 2 Rebellion rewards units that are very useful when it comes to battles in which only mages are used, these battles normally favor the death and earth classes, but since the mana limit is quite high our choice will be with the earth class and below I will explain the alignment that I will use.
En esta batalla lo haremos diferente, usaremos 2 unidades Rebellion rewards muy útiles cuando se trata de batallas en las que solo se usa magos, estas batallas normalmente favorecen las clases muerte y tierra, pero como el límite de mana es bastante alto nuestra elección será con la clase tierra y a continuación te explicaré la alineación que utilizare.

🧙 Summoner/ Invocador: Immortalis
This is for me one of the best summoners that the Chaos Legion meta has, not only does it apply the void ability to all units making them resistant to magical attacks but it also imbues them with the shatter ability which allows us to destroy enemy defenses in one hit, finally this summoner subtracts the enemy's maximum life by -1 therefore, Immortalis is perfect to face our opponent.
Este es para mi uno de los mejores invocadores que tiene el meta de Chaos Legion, no solo le aplica la habilidad void a todas las unidades haciéndolos resistentes a los ataques mágicos sino que también los imbuye con la habilidad shatter lo que nos permite destrozar las defensas enemigas de un solo golpe, por último este invocador resta la vida máxima del enemigo en -1 por tanto, Immortalis es perfecto para enfrentar a nuestro oponente.
🎴 Suidae Shaman
For the first position I just need a unit with a lot of health at a low mana cost, in this context Suidae Shaman is a good candidate, another option is Mycelic Slipspawn but it's not a good idea to use units with Taunt when the Ferocity ruleset is present, so for this battle this will be our best option.
Para la primera posición solo necesito una unidad con gran cantidad de vida a un bajo costo de mana, en este contexto Suidae Shaman es un buen candidato, otra opción es Mycelic Slipspawn pero no es muy buena idea usar unidades con Taunt cuando esta presente la ruleset ferocity, asi que para esta batalla esta será nuestra mejor opción.

Strengthen
Among the most notable dangers we can face is the fact that the opponent uses a summoner that boosts magic damage like Oblivion, uses units with the magic reflect ability or also uses units with the poison ability. Therefore we must increase as much as we can the maximum health of our units and this is where Thunderhoof Nomad & Ujurak Elder can help us because both units have the Strengthen ability to increase our maximum health by a total of +2, this will allow us to resist the enemy's magic attacks and possible afflictions while weakening their alignment.
Entre los peligros más destacables a los que nos podemos enfrentar, esta el hecho que el oponente use un invocador que potencie el daño mágico como Oblivion, utilice unidades con la habilidad magic reflect o también utilice unidades con la habilidad envenenar. Por tanto debemos incrementar todo lo que podamos la vida máxima de nuestras unidades y aquí es donde Thunderhoof Nomad & Ujurak Elder nos pueden ayudar porque ambas unidades tienen la habilidad Strengthen para incrementar nuestra vida máxima en un total de +2, esto nos permitirá resistir los ataque mágicos del enemigo y las posibles aflicciones mientras debilitamos su alineación.
🎴Goblin Psychic
Goblin Psychic is not just a healing unit, his 2 extra abilities: silence and affliction are key for this type of battle, the first one reduces magic damage by -1 and the second is the chance to prevent the target from being healed in any way. With this we make sure that the enemy's magic damage can weaken us and also that their vanguard can be healed.
Goblin Psychic no es solo una unidad sanadora, sus 2 habilidades extra: silence y afliction son claves para este tipo de batalla, la primera reduce el daño mágico en -1 y la segunda es la probabilidad de evitar que el objetivo pueda ser sanado de alguna manera. Con esto nos aseguramos que el daño mágico del enemigo pueda debilitarnos y también que su vanguardia pueda ser sanada.
🎴 Doctor Blight
When I face battles with exclusively magic units, it often happens that the opponent also reduces my magic damage, thus creating a situation in which we cannot hurt each other. To break this pseudo tie I always like to use a unit with the poison ability and its best exponent is the already legendary Dr. Blight. This card has a whole series of afflictions that are quite useful to make the difference in very close battles like this one.
Cuando enfrento batallas de unidades exclusivamente mágicas, suele pasar que el oponente también reduce mi daño mágico creando de esta manera una situación en el que no podemos hacernos daños. Para romper este pseudo empate siempre me gusta utilizar una unidad con la habilidad envenenar y su mejor exponente es el ya legendario Dr. Blight. Esta carta tiene toda una serie de aflicciones bastante útiles para hacer la diferencia en batallas muy cerradas como esta.
🎴 Runemancer Florre
Runemancer Florre is a unit devoid of abilities, since its strength is in the high levels of combined damage it can do, since it not only has magic attacks, but also range. This is the reason why I place this unit at the end, its ranged attack will weaken the enemy lineup with each turn regardless of whether our opponent has reduced our magic damage to the minimum.
Runemancer Florre es una unidad desprovista de habilidades, ya que su fuerte esta en las altas cotas de daño combinado que puede hacer, ya que no solo tiene ataques mágicos, sino también rango. Esta es la razón por la que ubico esta unidad al final, su ataque rango irá debilitando la alineación enemiga con cada turno sin importar si nuestro oponente ha reducido nuestro daño mágico al mínimo.

🔥 Round 1 & 2
At the beginning of the battle, our opponent's strategy is revealed, an offensive with high levels of magic damage. At least with the void, the reduction of magic by -1 and +2 on our maximum life, we managed to successfully withstand the first round. When the second round began, we eliminated the enemy tank and 2 more units, that cost us the loss of our tank and Thunderhoof Nomad but it gave us enough time to eliminate a good part of the enemy lineup and leave him with only 2 units.
Al comenzar la batalla se revela la estrategia de nuestro oponente, una ofensiva con altas cotas de daño mágico. Al menos con el void, la reducción de la magia en -1 y +2 en nuestra vida máxima logramos soportar exitosamente el primer round. Cuando se da inicio al segundo round eliminamos al tanque enemigo y 2 unidades más, eso nos costó la pérdida de nuestro tanque y de Thunderhoof Nomad pero nos dio el tiempo suficiente para liquidar buena parte de la alineación enemiga y dejarlo sólo con 2 unidades.
🔥 Rounds 3-4
Thus, in the last 2 rounds, it did not matter that these last 2 units were the ones that inflicted the most damage and also stole life, their fate was sealed by not being able to do more damage than expected. With this we close an impeccable victory against a Rebellion legendary summoner, meaning that Immortalis remains the ideal choice for this ruleset. Next battle!
Así en los últimos 2 round no importó que estas últimas 2 unidades fueran las que más daño infringieran y además robaran vida, su destino quedó sellado al no podernos hacer más daño del que esperaba. Con esto cerramos una victoria impecable contra un invocador legendario Rebellion, es decir que Immortalis sigue siendo la elección ideal para esta ruleset. Próxima batalla!

Odd units with the opportunity ability are key in battles with the Odds One Out ruleset. The dragon class had its best exponent with Dragon Jumper, but when it went to the wild format, a unit was needed to take its place in the modern format. We already had Whelp Herder, but this unit will soon go wild and although it is also odd, it does not compare with the new addition: Dragon Egg Forager. Let's see the potential that this card has in the next battle.
Las unidades impares con la habilidad opportunity son claves en batallas con la ruleset Odds one out, la clase dragón tenía su mejor exponente con Dragon Jumper pero al pasar al formato wild se hacía necesaria una unidad que ocupara su lugar en el formato moderno. Ya teníamos a Whelp Herder, pero esta unidad pronto pasará a wild y aunque también es impar no se compara con la nueva incorporación: Dragon Egg Forager. Veamos en la siguiente batalla el potencial que tiene esta carta.

🎴 Summoner/ Invocador: Lily Shieldpaw
Our strategy will be for the opponent to focus their attacks on the first position while our forces in the secondary row besiege their rows. To achieve this, we will use Lilly, which hides all the units in the secondary row, increases our maximum life and heals the unit in the second row that has received the most damage.
Nuestra estrategia será que el oponente enfoque sus ataques en la primera posición mientras nuestras fuerzas en la fila secundaria asedian sus filas, para lograr esto usaremos a Lilly que oculta a todas las unidades en la fila secundaria, aumenta nuestra vida máxima y cura a la unidad en la segunda fila que más daño haya recibido.
🎴 Djinn Chwala
Djinn Chwala will be our main tank, he has very good stats and 2 skills that will allow us to make things difficult for the opponent, one is that he has thorns so melee units will damage themselves when attacking him and second is that he has the enrage skill that allows him to increase his damage and speed when receiving an attack. This ensures that the opponent will receive a significant amount of damage before being knocked down.
Djinn Chwala será nuestro tanque principal, tiene muy buenas estadísticas y 2 habilidades que nos permitirán complicarle las cosas al oponente, una es que tiene thorns asi que las unidades melé se dañarán asi mismas al atacarlo y segundo es que tiene la habilidad enrage que le permite aumentar su daño y velocidad al recibir un ataque. Esto nos asegura que el oponente recibira una centidad de daño importante antes de derribarlo.
🎴 Carnage Titan
The second unit will also be an impregnable tank, Carnage Titan an important piece for this lineup because in addition to having the stats of a tank, he has the shield ability making him resistant to melee/range attacks, he can attack from the second position and the most notable thing is that he has double strike, meaning this beast can perform 2 attacks in 1 turn.
La segunda unidad también será un tanque inexpugnable, Carnage Titan una pieza importante para esta alineación porque además de tener las estadísticas de un tanque, tiene la habilidad shield haciéndolo resistente a los ataques melé/rango, puede atacar desde la segunda posición y lo más destacable es que tiene double strike, es decir esta bestia puede realizar 2 ataques en 1 solo turno.
🎴 Disintegrator
To make sure that our first 2 units withstand the greatest amount of melee damage we will use Disintegrator to reduce melee damage by -1. The function of this card here for now is support, however in case of losing our 2 main tanks, this card has damage and defenses that would allow it to contain the enemy in the first position.
Para asegurarnos que nuestras 2 primeras unidades soporten la mayor cantidad de daño melé usaremos a Disintegrator para reducir el daño melé en -1. La función de esta carta aquí por ahora es de apoyo, sin embargo en caso de perder a nuestros 2 tanques principales, esta carta cuenta con un daño y defensas que le permitirían contener al enemigo en la primera posición.
🎴 Supply Runner
Now we go with the offensive units of the secondary row, Supply Runner will be the first offensive range unit that also increases our speed by +1 which can ensure we have the initiative in combat. This is a card that I use constantly and is the reason for having it gold, I will really miss this card when it goes to the wild format.
Ahora vamos con las unidades ofensivas de la fila secundaria, Supply Runner será primera unidad rango ofensiva que también incrementa nuestra velocidad en +1 lo que nos puede asegurar tener la iniciativa en el combate. Esta es una carta que uso constantemente y es la razón de tenerla dorada, realmente voy a extrañar esta carta cuando pase al formato wild.
🎴 Dragon Egg Forager
Opportunity & Scavenger
Dragon Egg Forager has a double function in this lineup. On the one hand, it will be in charge of hunting those weaker enemy units and eliminating them and as a second aspect it is accumulating victims on the battlefield. By having the scavenger ability, with each loss on the battlefield its maximum life will increase, this will help us in the worst case scenario that we lose all the tanks and this unit remains in front, it will have enough life to contain the enemy.
Dragon Egg Forager tiene una función doble en esta alineación por una parte se encargará de cazar aquellas unidades enemigas más débiles y eliminarlas y como segundo aspecto esta el acumular víctimas en el campo de batalla. Al tener la habilidad scavenger con cada baja en el campo de batalla irá aumentando su vida máxima, esto nos ayudará en el peor de los casos que perdamos todas los tanques y esta unidad quede al frente tendrá la vida suficiente para contener al enemigo.
🎴 War Pegasus
War Pegasus is our last ranged unit, it can destroy shields with a single attack, it has high evasion and good damage, it is the perfect unit to accompany Dragon Egg Forager in the rearguard.
War Pegasus es nuestra última unidad rango, puede destrozar escudos con un solo ataque, tiene una alta evasión y buen daño es la unidad perfecta para acompañar a Dragon Egg Forager en la retaguardia.
⚔️ Batalla/Battle
🔥 Rounds 1 & 2
The first 2 rounds show how close this battle will be, our opponent used the same summoner and cleverly placed Arkemis as the main tank and instead of using a support like I did he decided to place Runic Skyclaw a terrible ranged unit with the Giant Killer ability so our Carnage Titan is in danger. In the end our 2 tanks eliminated each other, everything will be decided in the next rounds.
Los 2 primeros rounds demuestran lo cerrada que será esta batalla, nuestro oponente usó el mismo invocador e inteligentemente colocó a Arkemis como tanque principal y en lugar de usar un apoyo como fue mi caso decidió colocar a Runic Skyclaw una terrible unidad rango con la habilidad Giant Killer por lo que nuestro Carnage Titan esta en peligro. Al final nuestros 2 tanques se eliminaron mutuamente, todo se decidirá en los siguientes rounds.
🔥 Rounds 3 & 4
The breaking point came in the 3rd round when Dumacke Exile activated Disintegrator's enrage and was dispatched by his attack activating Trample and then eliminating Uraeus leaving our opponent with only 2 units. The high evasion of the Runic Skyclaw made us not only lose several attacks but the Disintegrator itself but at least we kept 3 units.
El quiebre llegó en el 3er round cuando el Dumacke Exile activó el enrage de Disintegrator fue despachado por su ataque activando el Trample y eliminando seguidamente al Uraeus dejando así a nuestro oponente con solo 2 unidades. La alta evasión del Runic Skyclaw nos hizo no solo perder varios ataques sino al mismo Disintegrator pero al menos conservamos 3 unidades.
🔥 Rounds 5 - 12
The rounds went by and our attacks kept failing, this allowed the enemy to eliminate the Supply Runner, leaving the Dragon Egg Forager in first position. Only when we reached round 12 with the enrage activated and the help of the War Pegasus did we manage to take down that flying creature and later dispatch the Venari Crystalsmith. A hard-fought victory but with the satisfaction of having managed to defeat an opponent of a much higher level than us.
Los rounds fueron pasando y nuestros ataques siguieron fallando, esto le permitió al enemigo eliminar al Supply Runner, dejando en la primera posición al Dragon Egg Forager que solo al llegar al round 12 con el enrage activado y la ayuda del War Pegasus logramos dar de baja a ese engendro volador y posteriormente despachar a la Venari Crystalsmith. Una victoria bastante luchada pero con la satisfacción de haber logrado derrotar a un contrincante de mucho mayor nivel que nosotros.
🌲Conclusions/Conclusiones🐲
- We are still far from having these cards close to us in the gold league, but with the level at which I already have them, quite effective lineups can be designed, for example Thunderhoof Nomad & Ujurak Elder are excellent support cards for the group. While Dragon Egg Forager is the opportunistic card that the dragon class needed to be complete.
- Aun estamos lejos de tener estas cartas cercanas en la liga de oro pero con el nivel en el que ya las tengo pueden diseñarse alineación bastante efectivas, por ejemplo Thunderhoof Nomad & Ujurak Elder son excelentes cartas de apoyo al grupo. Mientras que Dragon Egg Forager es la carta oportunista que necesitaba la clase dragón para estar completa.
