This along with the rule where Legendary cards are not available puts players more on a level playing field since most of the time it's the legendary or Epic cards that are more expensive that give players who own them an advantage. So in that regard, I kind of like this rule and it also gives quite some variety since Legendary and Epic cards tend to be strong and often used.
For this match, the other rules were that only monsters up to 4 mana could be used while none of the monsters got any abilities with just 19 mana to use overall
With the no-ability rule, it usually comes down to playing good magic monsters to win. I played the Furious Chicken in the first place to block some initial damage. This match was also the firt time ever that I used the Wily Coyotian which is one of the Soulbound reward cards that I already have at level 8. I followed that up with 4 low mana Magic monsters with the Elven Mystic, Undead Priest, Venari Bonesmith, & the Life Sapper. The higher damage monsters are in the back since those need to survive the longest.
My opponent only had level 4 summoner and limited cards which made for an easy 100% win.
