Hello gamers! Any time left for gaming with so much nice weather lately? ๐
For me, it's been a few chill days with lots of gaming because I just healed from COVID... again, and there was plenty of time that I had to occupy with something so games, movies, books, what else?
Anyway, with so much free time I also thought it's a good alternative to step away for a little from the usual games I play for years, and that's how I decided to try out Rogue Company which popped out on Steam when I opened it.
Both the trailer and graphics of Rogue Company look quite promising which I think is one of the main factors to convince someone to try out a game that might become a real competitor for the shooting games pretty soon, and considering that it's also free to play, you have nothing to lose giving it a chance.
While both I and my boyfriend have quite old computers which are not running well too many games, it's hard to find something that we can both play and enjoy equally but the biggest surprise came when I noticed that even though Rogue Company is a fairly new game, it runs very well on old computers not having a bunch of requirements and being optimized pretty nicely.
I know there are a lot of shooters that the fans can enjoy in 2022 but in my opinion, there are two categories they are part of, namely, either based on SF characters and scenery and then these closer to reality with proper wars between armies and realistic scenes.
Honestly, I've never been interested in Fortnite, Valorant, or any of the popular shooters that are sort of SF ones but more in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive which is closer to reality. The same applies to my boyfriend too who enjoys the Call of Duty and Battlefield series. However, we still wanted to give this one a try and see what's everything about.
So while Rogue Company is a mix between SF and reality, you can pick any character you wish and train it by earning exp and buying new guns, clothes, or even opening cases and praying for one of these crazy drops.
Though, a thing that I didn't meet in any of the shooter games I played before is that each character has a special power that gives him a bonus in front of the others remembering Dallas who can see through the walls where the enemies are for a limited time or Anvil who can build some gates to hide behind during a fight.
Just like most shooter games, Rogue Company makes no exception in terms of game modes which even though are just a few, you can still have a lot of fun spending time in each of them either if we are talking about the ranked or unranked ones.
However, being a competitive person I decided to play unranked matches until I improve my skill, where the least frustrating mode was Strikeout. Over there we will have two teams, each with 4 members that have to protect a site for a limited time until it's made a decision about the team that gets the point for it.
The more you play, the better you will be assigned with randoms who have a similar skill to yours so the matches won't be that pink anymore with you being placed in the first position and having the most kills, but it's important to keep a cool vibe and accept that others have more experience than you so just keep training until you get better and dominate Rogue Company's virtual world.
Oh, and if you are a DOC's fan, then do keep in mind that there is a map in the pool entirely dedicated to this one that is identical to the world the streamer often presents on his broadcasts, remembering the car, the statues with him, the neon scenery, his clothes, glasses, wig, and what not!
Conclusions ๐ค
Rogue Company is a game that is definitely worth the attention at least from the shooter gamers because it comes with lots of characters to pick from, a various map pool, and endless options to pick from in terms of creating a loadout, dressing up your characters, and more!
Additionally, is a solid game that gives the opportunity to play it both ranked and unranked making a difference between the competitive people and the chill ones.
The game is a lot of fun for people of all ages leaving aside, for now, the toxic community that most online and multiplayer games come with, but the scenery is a little bit childish that might not be enjoyed by those who are seeking real backgrounds and occurring events.
Did you play it? ๐
I didn't notice many shooter fans on the chain's community of gamers but I am still interested to see who played this one or if it stirs any interest at all. If not, what shooter games do you prefer playing?
