¡Hi everyone! Today I'm back with the gaming content, after doing an extensive review of GTA San Andreas. These days, I've been playing a lot the new Kingdom Come Deliverance II, of which I will soon bring a full review of the game when I finish it.
Almost a month ago, I forgot that I had left my card linked to my PlayStation Plus subscription, resulting in an automatic $14 charge. I really had no intention of playing online or taking advantage of the games in the catalog.
However, I decided to at least take advantage of my subscription and try Payday 3, which this month is available for free with Playtation Plus subscription.
¡Hola a todos! Hoy vuelvo con el contenido gaming, luego de hacer una extensa reseña del GTA San Andreas. En estos dias, estuve viciando bastante al nuevo Kingdom Come Deliverance II, del que prontó traere una reseña completa de videojuego cuando lo terminé.
Hace casi un mes, olvidé que había dejado mi tarjeta vinculada a la suscripción de PlayStation Plus, lo que resultó en un cobro automático de 14 dólares. No tenía la intención de jugar en línea ni de aprovechar los juegos del catálogo.
Sin embargo, decidí al menos sacarle provecho a mi subscripción y probar Payday 3, que este mes está disponible de forma gratuita con la suscripción de Playtation Plus.
Payday 3 is a relatively recent game, with only a year and a half since its release. To me, that was a net flag, as successful games don't come with subscriptions soon after release.
Still, I decided to ignore the red flag and give it a chance, remembering the good times I'd had playing Payday 2 on PS4.
Payday 3 es un juego relativamente reciente, con solo un año y medio desde su lanzamiento. Para mí, eso fue una red flag, ya que los juegos exitosos no se incluyen en suscripciones tan pronto.
Aun así, decidí ignorar la RED FLAG y darle una oportunidad, recordando los buenos momentos que había pasado jugando Payday 2 en PS4.
Upon opening the game, I found myself having to create an account on the PAYDAY page in order to start playing. Doing this process from the PlayStation is quite tedious and may be one reason why a new player decides not to go to the trouble and simply closes the game.
After creating my account, I skipped the tutorial due to the fact that I had experience playing quite a few hours of its previous installment (big mistake). I set out to find a matchmaking manually, looking for a heist that is fairly easy and not end up getting kicked out of the room for being new.
The manual matchmaking system, works lousy and didn't even give me a chance to enter certain rooms that were supposed to take place.
I didn't want to waste any more time, so I opted for the quick match option to find something to play. I entered a mission that was already in progress and, while trying to learn the controls to get the hostages on the ground, I mistakenly threw a grenade at a group of civilians, killing them. This led to me being kicked out of the game.
Al abrir el juego, me vi con la obligación de tener que crear una cuenta en la página de PAYDAY para poder comenzar a jugar. Hacer este proceso desde la PlayStation es bastante tedioso y puede ser una razón por la que un nuevo jugador decida no tomarse la molestia y simplemente cierre el juego.
Luego de crear mi cuenta, me saltee el tutorial debido a que tenia experiencia jugando bastantes horas a su anterior entrega (grave error). Me dispuse a buscar una partida accesible para mi nivel.
El sistema de matchmaking manual, funciona de forma pesima y ni siquiera me daba la oportunidad de ingresar a ciertas salas que se supone que tenían lugar.
No quería perder más tiempo, así que opté por la opción de partida rápida. Ingresé a una misión que ya estaba en progreso y, mientras intentaba aprender los controles para hacer que los rehenes se tiraran al suelo, lancé por error una granada a un grupo de civiles, matándolos. Esto llevó a que me expulsaran de la partida.
After that mistake, I looked for a new heist and this time I found myself in a bank robbery from the beginning. I was in charge of controlling the hostages and defending the front door, while my partners worked on opening the vault.
Después de ese error, busqué un nuevo golpe y me encontré con un atraco a un banco desde el principio. Me encargué de controlar a los rehenes y defender la puerta principal, mientras mis compañeros trabajaban en abrir la bóveda.
Once open, we had to quickly defuse the dye bag that could explode on the money, rendering it completely useless. Luckily, we were fast enough and managed to take all the cash, plus the jewelry and money we found in the bank's safety deposit boxes. We loaded the bags into the getaway van and successfully escaped my first heist.
Una vez abierta, teníamos que desactivar rápidamente la bolsa de tinta que podía explotar en el dinero, dejándolo completamente inservible. Por suerte, fuimos lo suficientemente rápidos y logramos llevarnos todo el efectivo, además de las joyas y el dinero que encontramos en las cajas de seguridad del banco. Cargamos las bolsas en la camioneta de huida y escape con éxito de mi primer golpe.
To test the game in more detail, I decided to play one more heist. This time I played a heist where we had the objective of robbing several businesses, generally jewelry stores, in a whole street. Unlike PAYDAY 2, I found the addition of a tool to cut the glass of the jewelry store without attracting attention, which is quite interesting.
During the end of the coup, we had problems to escape because there was a “partner” of the coup who did not come to the escape helicopter, so we had to wait for him for several minutes until he deigned to come, taking a mediocre loot.
Para probar más a detalle el videojuego, decidi jugar otro golpe más. Esta vez me tocó un golpe dónde teniamos el objetivo de asaltar varios negocios, en general joyerias, de una calle. A diferencia del PAYDAY 2, me encontré con la adición de una herramienta para cortar el vidrio de la joyeria sin llamar la atención, que esta bastante interesante.
Durante el final del golpe, tuvimos problemas para escapar porque habia un "compañero" que no venia al helicóptero de huida, asi que tuvimos que esperarlo durante bastante minutos hasta que se digno a venir, llevandonos un botin mediocre.
My conclusion after playing the game for a few hours, is that it is not a big deal. The additions with respect to its previous installments, which are quite old, are quite poor, it is the same gameplay, with better graphics and some other additions of enemies like police drones. It should be entertaining to play it with friends, but not for many hours.
That it came out on Playstation Plus subscription a year after its release, shows that it was a commercial failure and hasn't caught the attention of new players either.
Would I pay thirty bucks for the game?
No, it doesn't seem worth paying that much money for a game that is only a minor improvement to its predecessors and doesn't include much of its content since it is sold as DLC. Now if you have the Playstation Plus subscription, maybe you can give it a chance, for the games that have been coming out lately it's not that bad.
Mi conclusion luego de jugar unas horas al Payday 3, es que no es la gran cosa. Las adiciones respecto a sus anteriores entregas que son bastantes viejas, son bastante pobres, es la misma jugabilidad, con mejores gráficos y alguna que otra adición de enemigos como los drones de policía. Debe ser entretenido jugarlo con amigos, pero no por muchas horas.
Que haya salido en la subscripción de PS Plus a un año de su lanzamiento, demuestra que fue un fracaso comercial y tampoco ha llamado la atención de los jugadores.
¿Pagaría treinta dólares por el juego?
No, no me parece que valga la pena pagar ese dinero por un juego que es sólo una pequeña mejora a sus antecesores y no incluye gran parte de su contenido ya que se vende como DLC. Si ya tienes la suscripción de PlayStation Plus, quizá valga la pena darle una oportunidad. Para los estándares de los juegos que han salido últimamente, Payday 3 no está tan mal.
