Hello everyone, we are back after a while with some more Ghost of Tsushima; this time around, we are learning more about the settings of this game. I'm still experimenting with different ideas around the game mechanics, and it's overwhelming what you can do with this game. One thing that bothers me is that we don't have HDR tuning settings inside the game, so we have to suffer from too much darkness in some places. You would see me spending more time on the Gears, techniques, and collections menu to learn more about the game. I have been struggling with the horse mount mechanism and even the normal interaction button as I'm used to the dark soul button layout; I ended up striking NPCs or even my horse a couple of times and feel bad about it, haha.
Learning more with Yuna
Yuna has been an amazing introductory character; I love how this game has depth to each character you interact with. Everyone has a purpose you meet here. Here Yuna is helping us with her thieving techniques to assassinate people. Attacking from the back is not something a samurai would do in the old days, no matter what. But this game is about Jin's adaptation to a dire situation to save Tsushima from the Mongols. Here Yuna helped Jin adapt to a different path and embrace the ways of the Ghost he's becoming.
The Fun Exploration
Not every open-world game is fun to explore, but when you make the environment dynamic and easy to interact it's hard to get bored. You can find Fox dens which would make you follow a fox and reach a Komoda that would help Jin to unlock different Charm slots, which would assist Jin to adapt to situations better based on the player's play style. While exploring, you can get lost in the beauty of nature, or you might find a bird that will help you find places where you can reflect on different things that are happening in life, or you might find a new sword set that would be a great match for your armor set. Sometimes you might stumble upon the enemies, and you have three options: call them out on a standoff, rush them, or run away.
Sensei and Jin
The bow master, with precise aim, has his own story to share with the player, where Jin has to track down Tomoe, who is going rogue as an act of revenge on Ishikawa, a sensei who pushed her too far for the betterment, which didn't result very well in the end. Here the player can get more familiar with different fighting mechanics and learn to face a different class of enemies. But take this with a grain of salt the bow class of enemies is the worst. I have been learning more about bows and arrows on this mission. I am also getting comfortable facing different enemies. I think soon I will not freak out when facing a horde of enemies as I'm getting more comfortable with each interaction. Also, unlocking and learning about different stances is an amazing part too. With that help, we are learning to go against multiple classes of enemies easily!
Meeting Masako
Also, in today's Episode, we met Masako, who has lost her whole clan to her people. She's the only survivor who fought her way, though. We came to her to seek assistance to save Jin's uncle, but first, we would have to sort her problem out, which is always fair play and more content for the game. Here Jin reflects on her family member she buried in the cemetery with her own hands. We reached the golden temple to investigate the matter of who was behind all of this and realized it's one of the safe camps where the player can come to upgrade different stuff like armor, weapons, and many more. We acquired the samurai clan armor, which lady Masako's son wore, and also made a little upgrade to the Sakai katana. Afterward, we started our Journey of tailing the traitor, which resulted in the abomination.
This was all for today's stream; I hope you would enjoy the gameplay, and let me know your thoughts on this. A bit of a surprise is all the future streams would be higher quality and with Facecam on. So, I'm super excited about that. Hope to see you all there. :)
