Para participar en la iniciativa de @inLeo en la que se nos pide contar cuál ha sido la mejor carrera a la que hemos ido, lo primero que quiero mencionar es que soy muy nuevo en el mundo del running, aún así he tenido muy bonitas experiencias, de las que voy a hablarles a continuación.
Los primeros días corrí solo por las cuadras de mi casa, en algunas ocasiones me acompañó mi esposa, pero la gran mayoría de las veces iba solo. He logrado marcas personales muy valiosas para mí, como superar los 5 kilómetros en una sola sesión de entrenamiento, algo impensado para mí hace solo 3 meses atrás.
Hace unos pocos días pude realizar el entrenamiento en la playa, algo nuevo y muy reconfortante para mí, llevándome a darlo todo y superar en días consecutivos mis récords personales de distancia y ritmo.
Pero sin lugar a dudas la mejor carrera que he realizado fue la de este domingo, en la que logré establecer mi récord personal de distancia en más de 10 kilómetros, con un ritmo menor a los 7 minutos. Eso me llena de gran felicidad, aunque lo que hizo esta carrera la más especial de todas fue la compañía de otros corredores. La energía que transmitían cada uno de ellos me dio fuerzas para seguir adelante sin detenerme ni un solo instante.
Al principio, y por los siguientes 7 kilómetros, mantuve el ritmo de 1 hora 15 minutos, pero al llegar al séptimo kilómetro vi que tenía mucha energía, así que fui acelerando de a poco. En el kilómetro 8 ya había tomado cierta distancia de la guía para el ritmo mencionado antes. Y ya al final, logré establecer mi récord en 6:51 por kilómetro.
Entre las personas que me acompañaron hoy en la carrera estaban @graciliano, @enovf, @artsyjose y @chemi.art. Cada uno de ellos realizó la carrera de manera impecable, siendo una fuente de motivación y estimulo constante. Estoy muy agradecido por tener la oportunidad de haber corrido estos 10 kilómetros por primera vez, pero sobre todo por hacerlo con tan buena compañía.
Gracias a sus consejos y ánimo pude seguir adelante cuando ya el cuerpo empezaba a sentir el cansancio propio de la carrera, así como cuando mi mente me comenzaba a decir que ya no iba a poder más. Además, en el kilómetro 7, justo cuando mis fuerzas flaqueaban, me encontré con la regadera colocada en el camino por los patrocinantes, la cual ayudó a refrescarme un poco y sentir mis fuerzas renovadas para seguir adelante. De hecho, durante todo el trayecto había personas dando palabras de ánimo, lo que sin duda contribuye mucho a seguir avanzando, sin importar la fatiga que se sienta.
Ya casi al final, restando aproximadamente 100 metros para llegar a la meta, yo iba a un ritmo lento, con la idea simplemente de alcanzarla, pero una de las guías me retó a acelerar el paso, marcando ella el ritmo, y tuve las fuerzas para acompañarla durante esos metros finales. Esta ha sido una experiencia muy positiva para mí, tanto a nivel físico como a nivel emocional.
Ahora toca seguir entrenando para lograr estar en la mejor manera física y listo para la próxima oportunidad que se presente para seguir dejando en alto el nombre de esta maravillosa comunidad: @hiverun

The first days I ran alone around the blocks of my house, sometimes my wife accompanied me, but most of the time I ran alone. I have achieved very valuable personal bests for me, such as overcoming the 5 kilometers in a single training session, something unthinkable for me just 3 months ago.
A few days ago I was able to train on the beach, something new and very comforting for me, leading me to give it all and beat my personal records in consecutive days of distance and pace.
But undoubtedly the best race I have done was this Sunday, in which I managed to set my personal record for distance over 10 kilometers, with a pace of less than 7 minutes. That fills me with great happiness, but what made this race the most special of all was the company of other runners. The energy that each one of them transmitted gave me the strength to keep going without stopping for a single moment.
At the beginning, and for the next 7 kilometers, I kept the pace of 1 hour 15 minutes, but when I reached the seventh kilometer I saw that I had a lot of energy, so I accelerated little by little. At kilometer 8 I had already taken some distance from the guide for the above-mentioned pace. And at the end, I managed to set my record at 6:51 per kilometer.
Among the people who accompanied me today in the race were @graciliano, @enovf, @artsyjose and @chemi.art. Each of them performed the race flawlessly, being a source of constant motivation and encouragement. I am very grateful for having the opportunity to have run these 10 kilometers for the first time, but above all for doing it with such good company.
Thanks to their advice and encouragement I was able to keep going when my body started to feel the fatigue of the race, as well as when my mind started to tell me that I was not going to be able to do it anymore. Also, at kilometer 7, just when my strength was flagging, I found the watering can placed on the road by the sponsors, which helped me to refresh myself a little and feel my strength renewed to keep going. In fact, all along the way there were people giving words of encouragement, which undoubtedly contributes a lot to keep moving forward, regardless of the fatigue felt.
Almost at the end, with approximately 100 meters to go to the finish line, I was going at a slow pace, with the idea of simply reaching the finish line, but one of the guides challenged me to pick up the pace, setting the pace herself, and I had the strength to accompany her during those final meters. This has been a very positive experience for me, both physically and emotionally.
Now it's time to keep training to be in the best physical shape and ready for the next opportunity to continue leaving high the name of this wonderful community: @hiverun.
