I made my first hive post 19 days ago, which I must add is among the first 100 posts made on the new chain and started(continued?) a journey that began over two years ago. I was prepared for a rough start and didn't expect as many services to move but damn, you Hivers have no chill.
Climbing up the charts
I always check @stateofthedapps because it is the most detailed and detailed collection of Dapps spread across different blockchains available. I use to promote the platform while doing tasks for @yoodoo(formerly @oracle-d) and ran into Santiment, Knownorigin and a few other Dapps I still use now.
The platform is impartial, independent and keeps track of activity on various platforms to make a ranking based on category, blockchain and then an overal ranking based on usage.
Our very own @peakd sits in second position in the overall ranking of usage and patronage amongst Dapps in ALL blockchains.
In the social category, there are three Hive Dapps in the top 5, if you include @esteem, who moved to Hive blockchain but retained their brand name but slightly altered their brand logo.
What about the Rest?
Hive is barely 20 days old, yet there are 18 Hive Dapps listed on @stateofthedapps and you can find the comprehensive list here.
Outside the top Three dapps mentions earlier(@peakd, hive blog and @esteem), three other Dapps(@actifit, @threespeak and @steempress) fall in the top 100 while others like @engrave @dporn @yoodoo and a bunch of others make the top 500, and Dpublisher falls slightly out of the top 1000 in 1071 position. Out of over 3000 dapps, 1071 isn't such a bad position.

Technically, we're just 20 days old and unshackled by the failing os the "past administration" on Steemyy, we not have a huge responsibility on our hands to push Hive blockchain to the next level.
We need to create a platform that is more welcoming, more entertaining, and most importantly, more mainstream. it is all about promotions and I'll be playing my part in getting the message across in any way I can.
