The Beginning
Since the beginning of august myself and my dad have been working on modding my computer case, the Thermaltake Tower 900 Snow edition.
Previously it had only minor modding to it and was a large watercooled system with separate loops for the GPU and CPU.
We have since stripped it down, put my components into another case and switched everything to stock cooling and I'm currently using it as a backup system.
I've got a new motherboard, ram, cpu and gpu waiting for the case to be finished. It's an all AMD system, not the very latest but close.
So anyway in previous posts I talk about the mock up and design work which can be found here and here
Change of plans and bad weather.

Since then we've spent 3 months working on the case on and off depending on the weather and our sanity.
Here is the case fully mocked up in cardboard as of the end of august.
The design has not changed all that much from what it is today, the main change being the top panel no longer has complete side bits.
Metal, Metal everywhere..
Here is the case with the steel all cut up, bent and set out. This is from the 16th of October and still represented the old design.
The reason for the change was due to having to completely redo the top panel as the first version was a bad fit and had warped from welding the IO plate area in.
With the second attempt we didn't bother trying to transplant a IO plate and PCI Mounting area onto the metal and instead just cut some hole with great accuracy.
The second iteration of the top plate along with reservoir holes and mounting screws.
Same state but with most of the components on so this is the general look it will have.
The glass at the top will be frosted to obscure the holes in the side, RGB will illuminate the top.
RGB will also be place under the overhangs around the front and sides, the sides and front are concave'd inwards
RGB fans on the rads 3 each side, will run a push pull system of fans on each radiator with ducting for optimal performance.
RGB will also be placed up each front pillar shining into the reservoirs and fill tubes.
RGB gpu and cpu waterblocks and RGB ram.
There is a lot of RGB.. A LOT!
And here we are now. Motherboard hole cutout and everything is pretty much ready. A few more holes for wires and such are needed, we hope to get those done tomorrow.
On the top of each reservoir will be 16mm solid tubes with will act as fill ports (ports will be on top of the case) They will go straight up through the top plate. We also need to do holes of pipe bulkheads and such but that comes later.
As for right now, it's homemade spray booth time, getting primer on and getting everything white!
And that's where we are 3 months on. I have EVEN MORE RGB arriving hopefully tomorrow in the form of RGB ATX 24pin and PCI-E dual 8 pin cables, We need those to be able to cut holes for them.
Once those are done all cutting is pretty much sorted on the front side, only minor modifications need to fan mountings and such.
It should be done this year, We've very close to starting pipe work and polishing up some bits and filling some gaps.
