Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 153, Edition 02 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week which is “TECHNOLOGY AND PROFITS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “A PARENT ABSENT”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing their thoughts with us on the effects of having a particular parent absent from the life of a child. The absence of one parent could be felt and as such, it could very well affect the child in ways that are not so good.
We got the opinions of many; some believed that having a single parent didn’t mean that the child would grow up to have a complicated life, and for others, it would definitely make a difference if a parent was missing. Quite a sensitive topic, it was indeed an insightful one.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w153e1 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.
Featured Contents
THE SWING WITHOUT A PUSH by @michupa
This author used his own experience as a case study. Growing up for most of his childhood without his father in his life, he knew just what such an absence could do to a child, and the mark it could leave on them indefinitely. So, he makes a conscious effort to always be there for his son, so he would never get to experience what it feels like to have an absent father.
QUALITY PARENTING OVER QUANTITY by @vickoly
For this author, he says that it doesn’t matter the number of parents a child gets to grow up with. What is more important is the quality of parenting that they recieve. Having both parents doesn’t guarantee a good upbringing just as having only one doesn’t guarantee a complicated one. Quality will always trump quantity, any time, any day.
PARENTS OR PARENTING @amberkashif
For this author, she says that wile single parentin might be an arduous task, it says nothing about the child’s future. The values and discipline that the parent(s) instill in the children is what will determine if they’re productive members of the society. A lot of factors make up the character of a child, and parenting is just one of them.
All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (@melinda010100) ] and 1 $PANDAMINER each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.
But then, we have some honorable mentions which are listed below:
Honorable Mention

HOW PARENTAL ABSENCE OR PRESENCE DEFINES US by @aiuna

These are posts that were also found to be quite exceptional as well
AND NOW, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEW TOPIC!
Week 153 - Edition 02 Topic
“We all know that technology has made farming easier and science has been able to make achievements that would have otherwise been impossible. However, do you think that it all comes at huge cost? The more we apply technology to sourcing our food, the less nutritional they are. Is this a fair price to pay for sustainable feeding? Or is this something that can be fixed if we tried.”
