So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week which is “WORKPLACE BURNOUT”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “PRIVATE INDUSTRY”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing with us their thoughts on the idea that public infrastructure and facilities like roads and clean water would be privatized. Knowing that this would be a move that would ensure that all roads are in good working condition and the water is properly treated.
However, not many are happy with the idea because once these are privatized, they will be owned by business institutions. And as such, they will only be after profits. People will have to pay lots of money just to get access to roads and clean water. Making life harder than it already is. It makes for a scary notion indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w154e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. PRIVATIZING PUBLIC SERVICES OR PLACES CAN BE A GOOD IDEA by @shiftrox
This author told us that privatizing some infrastructure would be a good idea. Private companies have a better chance of giving better quality than the government does, seeeing how the government is always filled with corrupt elements who would never hesitate to take advantage of such situation. He feels that privatization would help the society better if implemented.
ROAD CAN BE CONSIDERED TO BE PRIVATIZED BUT NO CHANCE WITH WATER by @intishar
For this author, he believes that it would be best if only the roads can be privatized. After all, most roads are currently in terrible shape simply because the government has corrupt elements who refuse to use the taxes they take to do what they should. However, water is free and natural and as such, should never be privatized.
PRIVATE GAINS, PUBLIC PAINS @hopestylist
For this author, she doesn’t agree with the idea at all. She considers it a death sentence if it’s ever implemented. Even the poor masses wouuldn’t be ab le to drinkw ater freely, and every little trip that they make would have to be paid for. Something that would only get worse with time. She suggests that a collaboration with the government will better serve everyone’s interests.
