So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to come to an end. We are currently on our first topic for this week which is “TAKE ONE AND ADD ONE”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “BREAKING THE RULES”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their experience with breaking the rules in one area of their lives or the other. We got to see the circumstances leading to that definitive moment and how that decision affected them afterward.
Breaking the rules is something that some people find really easy to do, and for others, it really messes with their conscience. Not everyone is built to break the rules, and that’s a good thing because we still need people who can uphold the values of society.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w85e3 tags. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us about how he set some rules for himself regarding crypto, this was just to guide him so as to reduce his loss and moderate the risks he would take. However, he failed to keep one cardinal rule and he lost his life savings as a result. He’s still trying to recover from that horrid experience.
A BROKEN RULE THAT GOT ME DEVASTATED by @nkemakonam89
This author told us about how an unnecessarily strict school policy got her son suspended because he broke a simple rule. In this case, it was a simple mistake that could be made by any child and the punishment was quite extreme. It was something that could have easily been handled better.
SOMETIMES BREAKING RULES IS NOT SO BAD. @intishar
This author told us about the time he was forced to break the rules. His school implemented a new system that he believed was not working in his favor, but was instead making things worse for him. Breaking this rule did not go easy for him, it even got to the point that he had to involve a politician to intervene in the matter.
