one step at a time.
Talking about existence is endless. In this noisy world where we live in, everything becomes blurry. It is definitely not a fact, that’s how a girl in her 20s currently feeling. They said we will figure it out one day, but when? Why does it even feel like a constant battle with no real enemy.
Maybe we’re just fighting ourselves every day, trying to find our way. Sometimes we find ourselves type something like “how to get shits together” on youtube search bar, hoping for some inspiration to clear the cluttered mind. They pop up—cleaning the house, pampering day, exercise, etc. And of course, the video always end up like they’re finally getting back on track.
But that’s not always the case. There’s not enough conversation about constantly feeling down—never really get out of rut, no matter how much it’s romanticized. What if there’s no wake up call at any point at all? Maybe those youtube videos are right, maybe some people just need to take it one step at a time, to get back on track.
A familiar track that has not been visited for a while. A red track, with fine white lines. And a view of the vast sky, and many people gather to do the same thing—put one foot in front of the other, repeat. This place has no rule—it’s called running track but we can walk, as long as we are aware of the lines that have been set. Just like how life goes at the moment, isn’t it?
In this world with no pauses, the overstimulated brain sometimes feel the urge to catch up on something as fast as possible. But there’s no rule for it, right? Even it does feel like we need to run, can’t we actually walk, as long as we are aware of the path that we choose to take? Just one step at a time, to get back on track.
