most monsters are
especially the monster of fear aka 'the fear hare' ( a translation of the dutch word 'angsthaas' that sounded better than 'anxiety hare' or 'angst hare'.
I shared a story about this fearful creature, 3 years ago. If you're interested in knowing more, you can find that here. It came to me at the start of the p(l)andemic, when fear was running wild and many were doing the opposite ( hiding inside ).
The Monster of Disco did not go to the disco because it was afraid of silence,
it just loved to sling its limbs around the pole
and feel whole
( yeah, I know what you're thinking of and that is not what I mean )
In case you missed it, this is what I am referring to: pole dancing vs. break dancing
and this Parasite at the Disco Light
and go
from disco
nnect to connection
the pole gave him a huge

Let's stop rhyming here before my dirty mind takes over
The Monster fo Disco was exhausted of so much time spent overthinking
Once it started dancing,
it stopped regretting the past
and worrying about the future.
In short, it stopped hearing all the other monsters
like the unhelpful and always frightened
fear hare
In fact,
it could no longer
hear her
and forgot about time
It just felt
GREAT
This slightly forced writing was needed to break my silence on here
and it was written on a day when I, once again, realized that I need to create ( even ) more silence in my life, instead of always filling every hour and minute of my time with something ( whether it's podcasts, a book, music, the news, social media, talking, movies, eating and so on and so forth ).
Sometimes it's okay to just be
alone
with me.
So what about you? Are you afraid of silence?
In case you missed it:
I got an idea for a new book titled 'The Monster of Disco', a little over two weeks ago. This is how it all started: The M of D
