Week 21 Results | 26W-27L-3P | +0.499 Units Profit

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

The first week of 2025 was certainly an interesting one as for the first time since long there was a bet where I actually felt there was a big edge instead of most odds and line which more or less about right with possibly a small edge. This was Genk after they got a red card and showed that it kind of helped them as they upped their focus while OHL needed to go forward instead of just luring on the counters. My correct odds at the time were Genk +0 @ 1.800 (after they were a -1 pre-game favorite before the red card) while the bookies had Genk +0.25 @ 2.05 which really surprised me. I took it with somewhat bigger stakes but still nowhere near to what I would take if I actually the confidence that was backed up by results. The reality now remains that I'm struggling and that beating the current market feels the most difficult that it has ever been. However, this along with the Club Brugge -0.25 bet I managed to get in along with some other bets (Standard under and Gent under) which I failed to get into shows that right now there is an edge on the market to be exploited.

I also had a ton of fun with all of it which remains a key factor for me to keep going. I do need to start taking a bit higher odds though as I am a bit stuck with 1.8 range bets that kind of more prioritizes damage limitation instead of maximizing value.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2024-2025

I did have 2 pre-game highlighted bets with Brugge winning easy while Antwerp started the match still sleeping getting 1-0 behind after 16 seconds which screwed up the HT bet as they were shaken up and the pitch also didn't help to at least give them the draw before halftime.

Season 2024-2025 Personal Betting Chart

While the season trend now still looks slightly down as I'm at -2.26% ROI will, the shorter term trend looks like I'm in a slight uptrend again. Zooming all the way out, everything still looks quite healthy but I will need some kind of real upswing in 2025 to actually confirm this picture. I do feel that in the coming weeks I might be able to up my volume a bit as some of the edges that were there last week did give me something of a confidence boost.
